Steem Monsters is a steem based game fkr quite some time but I didn't really had any curiosity towards it because of the lack of time. Now that my semester break started I decided to get into the action. Here is my review of the amazing game.

Introduction

I went on the @steemmonster account and started scanning a few posts to get an idea of the gameplay and rules. Joined their discord group and got a message from an admin for a promo code lucky me. I created my account and put in the code and boom got 30 cards initially really huge bonus. The battle was a practice and I didn't have any idea of the mana and selected the cards which were over the mana limit hence it ended up in a surrender.

Gameplay

Were you a big fan of collecting cards well then this game is for you. The concept is that there are two basic cards the magicians which can summon the monsters, there are 6 different natured cards which can be selected with their respective summoner and also the neutral card which is selected by all summoners.

When the battle commences there is a mana limit and you have to choose the best combination in order to win the battle and advance in the rankings. I quickly got out of the novice league and now I'm in the Bronze 1 league, the competition increases as you advance along. You can also buy the same card a multitude times and combine them to max out the card this increases their individual abilities hence making you win more battles. There is also a daily quest which gives you a reward card of you finish it, I've gotten 3 cards in my short time playing the game. I also entered into a tournament the entry was free hence there were a lot of entries and I got eleminated within the first round but it was a learning experience.

Conclusion

This is a pretty addictive game whenever you're into a battke either you loose or win it feels as if you'll win the next for sure. If you loose there is a chance to plummet down the ranking but a winning streak doubles the rewards. I've just gone and started battke with the artillery I have available without any investment till now. I'll get 9 more cards when the current league finishes and after that I'll consider making a stronger collection and compete in tournaments seriously. Overall a great game from which you can earn real time steem.
