There were a few Contestants worthy of recognition! In fact, I really cannot convey just how difficult it has been to choose winners these last few weeks!! There are always multiple entries pitted against each other for every winners spot including the SSC Outstanding Achievement Awards and it's continually a painful process picking 1 over the other(s).

@bleedpoet is a veteran of SSC having created the first ever entry for SSC the week before it even existed haha. That's how excited he was to participate. Just coming off an extremely busy bout in life, he found time to craft and submit this interesting entry.
Not gona lie, for me the win is at least partly based off of this distinctive entry style and presentation. I'm really into this comic strip style format with classic @bleedpoet style hand written notes & goofy pictures. The entry is short, too the point and presents the sandwich/ideas concisely and with entertainment value.
From reading this entry.. I now know that the Chicken came before the Egg ;) Nice list of choice ingredients such as left over pan fried chicken (for a little crispness) and egg & crunchy lettuce to top it all off. Some sloppy tomatoes and Salami and cheese. Usually his sandwiches are kinda ugly ducklings, however, this one turned out quite good looking!
All and all, short, sweet & a great creative entry!

"Making a flat bread is not easily achieved, especially when you want to achieve that paper thin thickness while not tearing it. From where I am from, these flat bread are called roti canai, the stretch it by rotating the dough in air , seeing many try to achieve that thinnest and not tearing is few. I admire you for the courage to try it your self. Not only you made it, from its looks you seem to nail it. Thin, flaky, crispy and nicely charred."
"The salad spread is a creative way to mixed thing up a little, keeping its flavour while making the dish feels different. This spread is also a good choice to be added, as chicken breast can sometimes be dry. This spread will share its moisture to the protein giving a smoother mouth feel."
"Like you said the radish gives sweetness and crunch to the dish. The green harissa is a good addition too, adding more flavour complexity to the final product."

Jeezus... Dr. Alan Frankenstein of SSC does it again. TBH there were at least 3 entries from him that I wanted to give this spot to.. Alas I had to pick this one for its sheer creativity and interest.
The ingredients are most highlightable, having created his own homemade wraps as the base, Duck, Squid & Pork Loin and then the very appealing Smoked Yolks. What an interesting combo of flavours this must have been plus it's sitting in a duck/squid/pork stock!
Stunning pres in this one! Pictures and sandwich in general looks so artisan and perfect. Entry was short and sweet as well, with some nice cultural info. Nice effort on some of your other entries as well!

@lizelle - This participant never disappoints. She definitely has her own distinctive sandwich style & a seemingly bottomless well of creative ideas to share with us! This entry sandwichtized an inanimate object (quilt), utilized herring and Sprouts as its main innards. Love the bread cut outs too. Points for artsy fartsynes ! Boild eggs, rooibus bread...loads of veggies and tartar sauce. What a blast of flavours! Great work this week Lizelle!
@carolynstahl - Wow. What an impressive creation this week. Your fish/mushroom burgers looked intensely appetizing and nutritious. Great job experimenting with the homemade flat bread! Great array of veggies and additives such as maple syrup & Pear! Pres was also top notch in this one! Excellent work!
@tesscooks4u - Another insane sandwiteer of SSC, Tess smashed her way into the ft. category with her "Smash Burgers" and impressive artisan style. This burger looks decadent and the cheese bun a great pairing. I also enjoyed the straight up jalapeños, epic cheese sauce and side of corn! This is a short and sweet & simple yet effective entry!
@saimondonato - I wanted to highlight this entry this week bc it was kinda of bizarre. I appreciated the odd choice to boil bananas and use them as the base for the sandwich. Pork chop, sausage and an array of veggies compliment this oddball creation. Nice job & also love the avo!

@jaybird: I select the winners based on a variety of parameters. Just do your thing and have fun with it. I'm considering many factors such as presentation, ingredients & originality, creativity, community opinion & artistic ability just to name a few. PLEASE make sure to follow the rules! They are easy to follow and help prevent the tragedy of Null entries!
There are now 6 prizes. First Prize = roughly 50% of the prize pool
Second Prize dubbed the "Veto Vote" = roughly 30% of the prize pool + the honour of selecting the following weeks second prize winner. This prize is ideally given to an entry that although it did not win the contest, showed distinction among all the other entries. This could be a feature such as it was the community favourite, it used the most bizarre ingredients, or, it was just the best looking sandwich etc. IMPORTANT! The "Veto Vote" holder may not vote on his or her own sandwich to be selected as the second prize. However, they are still eligible to win First Prize should they enter the contest that week.
Third Prize will be roughly 15% of the prize pool
Roughly 5% of the pool goes towards the "Outstanding Achievement Awards"
