Autocad Civil 3D is a software developed by AutoDesk, Inc. which is one multinational company based in California and founded in 1992 by John Walker and Dan Drake. For now, there are dozens of programs developed by Autodesk, inc according to the needs in the world of engineering such as Autocad which is the most favored program. For Autocad itself also consists of several kinds depending on its usefulness. For purposes in the field of mapping surveys, the most common types are AutoCAD Land Desktop (Autocad Civil 3D now) and Autocad MAP 3D.

AutoCAD Civil 3D is A Software that only supports Windows operating system. In contrast to other types of AutoCAD, some are manufactured for other types of operating systems such as Macintosh. But specifically for AutoCAD Civil 3D only support for Windows. Autocad Civil 3D also only supports only 64-bit versions requiring Random Access Memory (RAM) of at least 4 GB.

For Autocad Civil 3D Version 2014 Up, in running this software will require a graphics processor such as AMD Radeon Or Nvidia.
