DECIMAL LONG DIVISION.

We did long division the other day and I really hope you understand it well now.

Today I want to do some long division with a decimal number and show you there is nothing to be afraid of.

We must just remember to move our decimal point and make our divider into a whole number by moving our decimal point to the right so that we can get a whole number.

But as always, what we do on the one side we must do on the other side as well and move the decimal point.

So now we have to move the decimal point in the dividend the same amount of times as we have moved it in the divider.

It is then really just a normal long division sum except we must remember to put the decimal point in our answer.

Never forget to move your decimal point up that will mean your answer will be wrong.

It is the place where we divide our whole numbers from the rest and when we move it up from where we had moved it after doing the sum we will have the right answer.

So if you follow this video you will understand exactly what I am telling you and you will see that the trick by making the divisor into a whole number it is like doing normal long division.

I really hope you still enjoy your maths and understand it.

Remember you can always go back and listen to the video as many times as you like, until you really understand and even go back to the ones we did before.

Have a wonderful day from me here at the Wild Coast.

Enjoy you maths a lot.

There is good question to split. One can divide by number.
