Promoting Steemit whilst charity fund raising - WIN WIN Situation I Say
Yesterday saw Matthew and I do our 16th car boot sale for charity since starting 2 years ago. What has made the last 3 different is that we are also promoting steemit too.
Thanks to @stephenkendal for donating the t-shirts and leaflets this has helped us explain to people that we are blogging our fund raising efforts.
In the past 2 years we have managed to raise in excess of £3,000 for good causes.
Our latest efforts are benefitting a local homeless charity.
Once we have enough we go shopping and buy much needed items - food, clothing and personal hygiene products. Along with these we take any surplus money.
There is such an amazing humble feeling when we go - makes all the hard effort worthwhile.
With car laden with goodies we make the
trip over to see them.
We are always greeted with open arms.
