Steemit.com Breaks Into the Top 3,000 Websites Worldwide!

Looking at steemit.com on similarweb.com, shows the meteoric growth in traffic that the platform has experienced since April. It also shows that this speedy growth has moved steemit.com into the top 3,000 most trafficked websites, globally and top 2,500 in the U.S.

Total visits to the steemit.com have been rising since February 2017 and then total visits took off in April 2017. Steemit, in February, had approached 1.9 million total visits, by April this number was 2.7 million and by May it was 5.9 million. In June, total visits had reached 11.9 million.

That is a sixfold growth in page visits in four months

The growth in page visits on steemit.com goes hand in hand with the growth of cryptocurrencies as a whole. Looking at a chart of the total market capitalization of the crypto universe, you can see the spike in valuations begin to pick up steem in February 2017 and then take off in April/May, reaching a crescendo in June of over $100 Billion. This overlays the page visit rise on steemit.com.

The rise of the crypto universe has led to an enormous gain in notoriety among the world's internet users. Total visits percentage and page view increases by country look like this:

These statistics show the global growth of steemit.com engagement in growing universally. Represented in the numbers are countries from the Far East, Europe and North America, showing universal appeal towards the steemit platform and positive growth in the five largest steemit nations, in June alone.

The question remains whether the growth of steemit and the overall market cap of cryptos will continue to march in lockstep? Steemit appears to be gaining strength will the cryptos appear to have enter a small correction phase, pulling back from their peak of $116 Billion to a current valuation of $87 Billion total market capitalization.

When the crypto markets settle to their new found, higher lows, I believe they will continue to find new monies coming into the marketplace. We are still in the early adopter phase of the coin phenomena and new coins are being launched daily. The crypto space has finally reached coverage on both the MSM and Wall Street, bringing the cultish world of crypto into the living rooms and boardrooms around the world.

As with cryptos going higher in the future, steemit is still in it's early adoption phase, it's only one years old, it to will continue to onboard a greater audience going forward. This will in turn drive the price of steem as well. The increase in web traffic and page visits shows that in the near to mid term, steemit has great legs to run and bright future ahead.
