Copying someone else's work on the internet is a crime - Plagiarism
Plagiarizing is copying someone else's idea, imitating the author's thoughts, then publishing it without the author's consent. It it as an act of dishonesty or breaching a writer's ethics, and it can be constituted in a copyright infringement.
Copyright infringement might be disputed and it can be resolved by the two parties involved by negotiation, take down process, simple notification or even by a court, as long as the evidence is clear and well presented.
It is clear that copying any phrases, sentences or any written content might be considered as a crime. There are some applications and website who can detect if the content has been copied or if the content is not unique using a plagiarism checker, it's a kind of SEO tools that can detect the volume of words use in a particular content, then scan the same volume of words use in other content through the web or even a phrase, then it will notify where the same content came from.
We should be careful of plagiarizing someone else's work here in Steemit, because it is also against the Steemit TOS or make sure you use quotation, credits or just a permission to use other's content.
@surpassinggoogle is such a generous person and has a very big heart for all of us here. Please support him as a witness by voting him at https://steemit.com/~witnesses and type in "steemgigs" at the first search box.
If you want to give him witness voting decisions on your behalf, visit https://steemit.com/~witnesses again and type in "surpassinggoogle" in the second box as a proxy.
Image are not mine they are just free images from google
I agree with you. Even taking photos from the web (if they are not free domain) is plagiarism. But the question is of little interest. Could you tell me a site or application for checking texts?
