Here is a quick video of a few of the new features, or scroll down to see some details and screenshots of them as well:

Browsing & Image Cards

There are a ton of features in the browsing mode of AutoSteem, but the one I love the most is the image based cards for each story.

I love photography and steemit is even better when you can browse it and see all the images in a post as its preview. You can see all the critical information with each card and of course click the title open the full post for reading and commenting.

Browsing

There are various Views in the Browsing mode.

  • Content
    -New
    -Hot
    -Trending
Each of the these can be TAG specific (you can set your tag list)
  • Author Feeds
View your own feed or the feed of any author (you can set your author list)
  • Author Blogs
View your own blog or the bloglist of any author (you can set your author list)
  • Bookmarks
This is really nice, you can view the cards from your own custom bookmarks list to keep your favorite content organized and easy to access.
  • Vote History
This view lets you explore the votes from your vote history, including autovotes so you can view the content, or go read more and comment.
  • Blogs View
This lets you view the cards from your blog view, which can have any custom filter applied, to help you view exactly what you want.

Favorite Tags and Authors for Browsing

The views with tag or author selections, allow you customize your own list of favorites for each tags and authors. Each list can be selected from, items added or deleted right from the selection dropdown, like I've done here with @boddhisattva, @daveks and @dragosroua.

View Filters

You can now apply a filter to the three main views, comments, blogs and photos. You can access this under setup or from each view using the filters button. @teamsteem, you had asked for this one, its finally here!

Keyword Mentions

In additional to the existing mentions for username mentions, you can now add specific keywords you want to track for in your mentions. Anytime those keywords are used, it will be added to your mentions view. @mattclarke and @countrygirl had originally requested user mentions, and since that is in steemit now, I figured I better up the ante!

Bookmarks View

Bookmarks can be added from anywhere within the Browsing mode and Blog View. Each card view has a bookmark button. You can then view the list of bookmarks here, or from browsing, you can set to view Bookmarks, to load and view your bookmarked items.

Performance Options

The options popup now has a new setting to help with performance in your browser.

This cache size can not be set to best suite your system, and it helps with memory usage. Firefox is still a culprit for consuming tons of memory (and even causing the browser to crash sometimes) so this helps with this and I'm still working to solve those issues in firefox. I'd recommend another browser otherwise, if that is an option for you.

Great improvements, I really look forward to use the "flash-cards" idea, it looked especially good on this post. ;) I'm going to try it out right now, thank you so very much! All for one and one for all! Namaste :)

Thanks eric, great to hear!

5/5 service so far, keep up the good work.

Thanks igster, glad to hear it! What do you like best?

What I don't like could be a better question. Very easy to use and to setup, couldn't ask for more really and it does it's job. Once you got all the features down maybe I'd take a look on making the site look slicker, but it's not an issue by any means and shouldn't be high on priority list unless steem hits it off big time.

Going to have a look .... thank you @unipsycho - looks like you have cracked a few functionality issues right there! You got my vote

Thanks ebryans I hope you like it. I have some small ongoing improvements to make in the browsing mode, as switching things fast seems to mix up a bit of content, but I'll get that sorted.

I have to wonder, would there be any reasonable way to have autosteem running for you even if you aren't on the site?

Nope, not Autosteem, that's not the way I've designed it. There are other voting services for that and they require servers to run from, mine does not, so I don't have any costs to maintain thankfully.

  • running locally is great security feature, you don't share your keys (even though just posting keys)

Thanks tomino, that is what I had in mind with that design feature, its all under your control still, you don't have to share your keys with any external service.

The cards are a game changer for curators, great work!

Hey right on! Yes, that is exactly what I think, it helps me find great content so much more easily. I've hit the top 10 curators list now using a combination of browsing with autosteem and autovoting, its pretty sweet!

Thanks lastminuteman, glad to chat today with you and get you into Autosteem, I hope you like the new features as well!

Looks great, you sure put a lot of effort into this!!

I upvoted!

This is one of the most advanced bot and I've seen the vast majority of the bots available. Good job!

Thank you for the mention.

How do we set different delay for each author we vote on?

Thanks teamsteem, glad to hear the feedback. The delay can only be set separately for favorites and for advanced, not for individual authors.
