5 new weapons.

I now have 5 new weapons in place. I ended up doing some more tweaking to their damage values after the video I made last night. Things are in pretty decent shape at this point I think. But now its time for me to start thinking about the next plan of action toward completing the game.

The Under Tunnels.

This brings me to the furthest area currently in the game right now. The under tunnels is directly below The Dark Base and its jam packed with combat to the likes of which have not been seen up until this point. There are new enemy types and new weapons as well as new hazards.

This level will also likely be the first time the player will be dependant on the auto-map to know where to go. This area will also include the games first mini boss battle as well.

I feel like I am building another game in this game right now!!

So, whats next?

If you you were watching my progress on the game back when I was working on The Dark Base you might recall when I block meshed the entire level. It all looked like a gray grid with no real graphics in place. I used this as a way to quickly set the stage for how I wanted to make the entire level actually flow. Once I had a flow in mind that was when I placed the new monsters.

My next goal is simple, figure out the entire layout for this large underground labyrinth of death. I will be documenting this process as well as I can without giving away too many secrets.
