Steemit CHAT users aren't necessarily the STEEMIT user!

There have been a number of people Direct Messaged out of the blue from a STEEMIT CHAT user named @sndbox.

Before going any further, please note:

• The scammers account was renamed to something else and banned
• The new @sndbox Chat account IS now the owners of the of the Steemit. So please don't send any messages or the like thinking they are the scammer.
• The Poloniex address the scammer used is: 268db175fa78a5da

It typically continues with them linking the wallet for the STEEMIT user of the [same name,] wanting you to see the large amount of delegated Steem Power in there. Following this you're asked to send them some Steem Dollars to them for an upvote a post from the large account you were just shown. He wants it sent to Poloniex (versus a Steemit wallet as is typically done) and If you do send any, you're continuously asked for more.

Important things to note here:

• Again it's worth noting that the issue for this specific scammer has already been dealt with ON THAT ONE ACCOUNT.
• They'll be back under different names
• Don't assume that Steemit and Steemit Chat users are always the same person...especially when they ask to send money.

It's quite reasonable to ask someone in this position to verify they are who they say they are by simply asking them to leave a comment on one of your posts.
