So here we go again .. 500 Followers... in 55 days
the last time i started on a social media platform where people got paid to post i ended up with + 90.000 followers,on TSU .
Back then there was actually a top 100 of people with the most followers and i only made it to the top 20 of that , wonder if there is such a list on steemit , it should be possible to create one i guess. ?
it made it a lot easier to find people worth following because the ones with high numbers also created Original Content , copy cats don't last long.
Congratulations and is TSU still around? O.O I am interested never heard of it.

I'm not sure you can use that as a general rule on Steemit.

Congratz on getting the 500 mark. I just had the same!
I do wonder about your point though... People with high numbers of following doesn't necessarily mean they have Quality Content. I've seen some (I don't call out names, that's disrespectful) and those profiles were pretty much garbage. Posting a meme or something and getting $50+.
Sometimes, the ones with lower followers can be as great too!
i consider memes as garbage only 1% is original and only 0.05% use original images .

Oh man, it's such a chore, but a great "cleaning" opportunity. You find things and think WTF am I keeping that for? Or things to donate, etc. Hope your move is as smooth as possible.

I went to Wikipedia to learn a little more about TSU and its decline. That could serve as a cautionary tale for Steemit.
I believe that Steemit in its current form is not sustainable; that it will need to find a manner outside of its own users to display or prove an economic value. Or if it can create an internal marketplace that functions well. Right now IMO Steemit is riding on a wave of the growing interest in crypto and for that identification and popularity its "currency" is accepted. Popularity alone is not going to sustain it.
I am very open to hear counter arguments and discussion. I would like to see Steemit morph itself into something sustainable. I am working on some ideas that may be able to help in that direction which I will post when they are better developed and presentable.
More details about your experience with TSU could be valuable as to learn why TSU failed.
