The article is not being critical of any right wing group. I think you read it wrong. The left is very twisted, they use the media to manipulate reality. In other words if they can make peaceful so called right wing people look violent thats a big victory for them although its false. What the article was trying to say is that Breitbart news brought together the new right which are many different idealogies on the right. It was a platform for all the right so to say. The article then agrees with you. You're wrong about the term alt-right. That term was in fact coined by Richard Spencer. Where the msm is wrong is that the alt-right is not white supremacist or kkk or nazi or any of that garbage. There a ethno nationalist group or simply put a white pride group. The msm grouped all the "new" right or conservative groups together and started calling them "alt-right", although the true alt right is not true american conservatism. That's why people who are involved in politics on the right now use alt right for white ethno nationalists like Richard Spencer and Alt-light for edgy conservatives like Gavin Mcciness or Milo Yiannopoulos. What the article is saying is that although conservatives or Alt-lighters should denounce Alt-Righters they should also defend the alt right when the left tries to take away their right to speech and assembly.
