I Used To Think Goals Were Useless...
GOALS
It seems to me that it wasn't that long ago that I was going through college. I remember having a class about leadership that had a unit where they taught us about the importance of making goals. I really didn't pay much attention to the lesson at the time but later in my life I look back and now I realize the value of the lessons I was learning.
Why Are Goals Important
To me goals are important because they give you a visual image of what it is that you are trying to obtain. It is for this reason, and many others, that you should make short term, medium term, and long term goals. This will help you achieve what you want. If you have true intent, and you want to reach you goals then this will help you. Maybe my opinion is biased but as a relatively recent adopter of someone who is making goals, I find them necessary and helpful.
Determine Your Goals - Visualize A Path
It's important to make goals that you truly believe you can achieve. An example, you don't want to make a short term goal of making a million dollars for yourself if that is an unrealistic goal in your current situation. By all means, if your income allows for this to be obtainable in the short term then reach for it! Otherwise, make sure your goals are reasonable so that you don't discourage yourself when they don't materialize as fast as you had hoped. Use your goals as confidence boosters by reaching them.
Anyone Can Do Anything
What is the difference between you and the own of company ABCD? Nothing really, they made that company and you didn't. What is the difference between me and someone who works at Mcdonalds? Nothing really, both humans with different occupations and goals. Achievements are a thing of perception. You get to decide what is important to you and make the goals that you wish to reach. Create them, visualize them, plan your path, and obtain. Nature is about our relationship to it, that's what's natural. Do what is right for you and your family. Best of luck!
