Noticeable Release Hard Fork 0.1.170323 29/03/2017

Helllo Steemian so its seems us users at Steemit.com are experiencing the release of 0.1.170323

What does this entail?
Well the new release was deployed onto Steemit.com a day or 2 ago now with a few new features to discover and some little glitches.

Firstly you may have experienced the updates on the Steemit Welcome Page I guess most noticeably was of course the new banner which was created by steemian @son-of-satire.

If your confused by this basically first time users will see this page right after signing up for a new account.
I knew most of the information on the page already but when I started this would of been really helpful the page is jammed full of useful information to help newbies get started on steemit.

Verify Phone Numbers

New members trying to sign up may have experienced issues verifying their phone number but Steemit as switched the service that they used to verify phone numbers.
Its down to Twilio now which should hopefully help with sign-up issues with blocked phone numbers.

Wallet Page Update

They have now added order operations to the wallet, so now the wallet shows the transaction history from buy/sell orders placed through the blockchain not sure how those who like privacy will feel about it.

Upvote Icon

Probably the update you noticed the most after the welcome page was that the upvote buttons got what many are calling a facelift.

Basically the upvote circle and the chevron is now colored its said this was done to make it easier to distinguish as a clickable action button.
If you now quickly hover the mouse cursor the circle will fill, if you place the cursor over the button it will now "Pulse" as they call it.

Enticement for Guests

The other day when I thought I was logged in but wasn't I noticed that a text that is shown at the bottom of posts as changed.

I wont lie that did get my interest even if I am already a user of Steemit.

What about normalized Payment rates?

Good question as currently every vote that is made will in essence effect all the other posts rewards on the blockchain.
The proposal was to ensure that all posts paid out at the same time would get a equivalent amount of steem per vote.
But with the whale experiment well underway it kind of already does this in a sense without changing the code, if you have enough SP.
Also the price of steem being slightly higher these days also means votes are abit more normalized to see if anything further will be worked on the subject is a case of wait and see.
