Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 30/4/2019 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your wondering when perhaps something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do occasionally change it's format from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as it's important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 30/4/2019

Should you be trading with Steem today...?

March 10th Steem reached it's highest so far for the year at $0.55 along with SBD's which also had a breaker on March 13th with it's highest being $1.41. With Bitcoins they have recently been holding above the $5200 mark, the highest for Bitcoins near the latest upwave was $5596. Bitcoins had a downwave but was still holding pretty well at around $5410 but from there it downwaved again to $5100 where at the moment it's stayed for the last few days. Until today breaking back above $5200 and getting close to the $5300 mark with $5270. For Steem they have been trying to hold above the $0.40 mark after falling from $0.50 and they were doing a pretty good job for a while as right now that doesn't seem to be the case with instead Steem trying to make it back to $0.40 well.. actually make it $0.35. Steem and it's overall ranking position is around #54 amongst all the other cryptos. As you know we beat the January high marking our highest value at $0.55. These past few days Steem as been presenting themselves with various good opportunities to buy-in since the 24th as we thought it would go back to $0.42 since only one week ago Steem managed the $0.45 mark. But the last few days Steems ended up falling to $0.33. And for today we started lower at $0.33 compared to yesterday $0.35, it stayed at $0.33 all the way until ⏰12.30 so it was no surprise it managed to go up to $0.34 and so spending the later part of the day at $0.34. Anyway if nothing much will happen for Steem in 2019 which is slowly looking more doubtful then I hope those who are still in the game will take the opportunity to keep collecting because right now we are in a seriously good place to grow our accounts remember as the price goes up higher collecting actual Steem becomes more difficult. But Steem is doing so much better then you may realise in BTC value Steem is on its way to make possibly a new all-time low but if you look back and have been here as long as me the lowest Steem has ever been was at $5800 BTC which was way back in March 2017 if you look now we are somewhere around the $6250 mark correct..so last time at $5800 BTC Steem was worth $0.07 but now around 6250 BTC it's still worth $0.34! No longer in survival mode the conclusion from all this is to continue cutting costs Hivemind is live the "steemd" instance size's went from 488GB RAM to 61GB RAM! Focus is on a multi index RocksDB adapter which is a new technology to allow the Steem blockchain nodes to store almost all of it's necessary data to a disk in a modern database instead of RAM the move will make nodes cheaper. Ned said that the cost reduction progress will still remain above the creation of SMT's which I feel is the right move. If you have returned recently to Steemit please be aware that there as been a wallet split to your account so please have your keys backed-up, yes ALL of them and don't use your masterkey to log into Steemit.com instead use your posting key, remember that when you click on your wallet you will be directed to a completely different website which should be "steemitwallet.com" please dont worry as this website is safe and part of Steemit.com. Also yes from now on both logged in and non-logged in users will now see adds on Steemit.com. For SBD's they broke record March 13th reaching $1.41. Currently SBD's are at a "normal" pegged rate, which isn't shifting but still it's already better than $0.91 and considering how much Steem dropped the results aren't too bad. SBD's they started yesterday at $0.97 and had a brief moment at $0.98 so it was a shame to see it start today lower at $0.94 and it continued bouncing between to $0.95 until around ⏰12.50 when we saw some movement upwards to $0.96 it took a dive at ⏰14.30 to $0.94 but managed to recover soon back to $0.96 bouncing down to $.95 often for the rest of the day.
