Daily Steem Price Update 2/12/2018
Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 2/12/2018 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem prices and changes for just over 2 years now.
I also want to mention just incase your thinking something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do slightly change from time to time.
But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as its important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 2/12/2018
Should you be trading with Steem today..
Just as expected Steem follows the recent pattern, so we should see Steem fall a little further and then recover again if we check with Bitcoin we can see it didn't go under $4000 for today 👍 but we could see this happen soon if the pattern continues to follow. Steem fell from yesterday at $0.39 to now $0.35 the down bump happened at ⏰11.30 steem when downwards for %45 of the day which is good considering the recent bomb Ned dropped to which I now welcome you into a new survival mode era on Steemit. See because of Bitcoin dropping alot lately it as been forcing Steem's own value to tank downwards and thereby causing some catastrophical affects for Steem INC. A revelation that Steem INC have been forced to lay-off around %70 staff members but soon after this there was a special live get-together for discussing what could happen going forward. We are now in a place where costs are a major problem the team will look at ways to cut this e.g right now and firstly there will be upcoming changes to api.steemit.com, e.g. tags and follow plugins from full nodes these functionalities will be moved to the hivemind service. Hopefully these first upcoming changes will help cut a good percent of costs / SBD finally made it to $0.83 but honestly it should be a little higher but with Steem falling I guess we might not see it happen after all, still it done well today considering SBD was pretty smooth and spent most of its day at $0.81.

i think hivemind is being overrated because of its name. but who knows. we'll see.
we're going through some dark times for crypto but i think most of it is coming from government regulations. as a result there's a lot of dev teams now working on privacy as well as scalability for bitcoin.
all i can say is the more you try to suppress something it's gonna come back with a vengeance.
Is hivemind overrated?.. well possibly yes, it's definitely something we will have to wait and see how it pans out especially going through these dark tough times in the crypto world, what I do agree on @roundbeargames is the government regulators getting their hands into things and causing problems for those especially in Bitcoin which is yes creating some negative effects on the latest down prices. I have also heard more is being worked on and hopefully cryptos will soon but regardless return with a vengeance.
