How To Vote For A Witness On Steemit
I put together a simple tutorial on how to cast your vote for witnesses that support the Steemit network so that you, the users, nay the community can keep steeming! ... or YUNKing, what ever floats your boat.
Step 1
In the top right corner of the STEEMIT browser window, next to your profile picture, click the menu button. It looks like a hamburger.
Step 2
A new menu will appear, select the "Vote For Witness" option. You will be directed to a new page with lists of all of the steemit witnesses.
Step 3
Scroll to the very bottom of the page and there will be a place to input the name of the witness you would like to vote for. Input their name, select vote.

I thought that I had already done this, but my vote didn't take. It took me two more tries to figure out why...

Hm... I am still kind of lost with this witness thing...
The witnesses effectively provide the computing power necessary to keep the network operational. Most are Devs, but you should check out @yunkzilla -- he wants to help bridge any divides between the minnows, dolphins and whales. Voting for witnesses strengthens their role within the network and makes it worth their while to keep it operational.
