3. Daily accounts transacting

A 'transacting account' is a Steem account that made at least one transaction on the Steem blockchain. This can be a vote, post, comment, transfer, power up or sbd conversion. Users who only read from the Steem blockchain without interacting are not included. The actual number of 'Active users' is therefore much higher than the accounts transacting.

The huge peak of accounts created in January go against the power down at the same time. The comments for posts are increasing which shows more talk between people...
I really don't know if will be in the good or bad future, but one thing is true, we are getting decentralized and more active.

·

"The comments for posts are increasing which shows more talk between people..."
Yes, but not necessarily on Steemit.
Probably other dApps are playing a huge role in this.
The increasing number of comments for posts may be mostly caused by dPoll (a poll dApp on the Steem blockchain).
I didn't noticed this fact outside of dPoll.
The real, human interaction is still rare on Steemit.

·
·

I agree with you that the dPoll could have increase... however, I saw a huge increase in human interaction in Steem too. Many posts that I entered that have only bot comments, have a few comments of humans, which could bring the value up too.

@penguinpablo, Good to see that Engagement rate and content creation is growing. Thank you so much for sharing these data. Stay blessed.

It is too good to see new user numbers...

Have you ever thought about putting an executive summary in your post? I think that would be helpful. Thanks for pulling the number together.

2000 new accounts is cool and a lot will transform in dead fish!

Go 1,5 million accounts go!

That is just a number. How many of them are active?
A lot of the accounts are inactive.
I currently (nowadays) have 937 followers, but most of them are inactive nowadays.
They left Steemit long (months) ago.
There are probably hundreds of thousands of inactive accounts on the Steem blockchain.

·
·

How come? Serious, Why? They come, look and see, and run for the exits.

How come? Because we are the greater fools that stay?

It's just like a toxic sewer, full with diseased rats... no wonder why they run...

·
·

So if Steem is so unattractive why so many new accounts get created?

Steem (as a blockchain and cryptocurrency) is not unattractive in my opinion.
But Steemit is. The lack of real, human interaction on Steemit make people disappointed in Steemit, and drive people away. Many people don't even try dApps on the Steem blockchain.
Maybe many of them don't even know about them.
However, the Steem blockchain have a lot of opportunity.
Especially after the appearance of certain dApps, for example the Steem Monsters.
Maybe many of the new accounts are Steem Monsters players, maybe not.
I saw a few Steem accounts, which only used to play Steem Monsters.
A new Steem account nowadays may mean totally different than what it meant in the past.
I don't know the reason behind why so many new accounts get created, but we will see how many of them will remain active on the Steem blockchain after a few months.
