Dubrovnik is a beautiful and historic walled city on the Adriatic Sea coast. Dubrovnik is the proudest feather in Croatia’s tourist cap, an elite destination and one of the most beautiful towns in the Mediterranean.
With a population of a little over 49,000, Dubrovnik isn’t as large as you might think, and although it sprawls along the coast for several kilometres, it’s real heart is the compact Old Town.
One of the best activities you can do during a day in the city is take a walk along the Old City walls. Tourists from all over the world come to walk the famous city walls on the 2 km trail. Dubrovnik is worth a visit at any time of year, although spring and summer – when life spills out onto the streets and café tables remain packed well into the night – bring out the best in the city.
