Steem Mining

So today i heard about the mining of steem from @jerrybanfield. so i want to know something about it please reply to my questions anyone !

1). how many of you guys are doing mining ?
2). Is it good for earning steem ?
3). Any system recommendations ?
4). How to setup steem mining because i am unable to set on my machine?

    steem is no longer mined . you need to become a witness. jerry is very popular and he stated hes earning about $15-20 a day which covers his operating costs. every steemit users can vote for their top 30 witnesses
