Wayyyyyyyyy too much hype on this site. The reason why Reddit is so popular is because people have a difference in opinion.. which contributes to debate and finally, consensus. Here we have everyone and their grandmother trying to make a quick buck by plagiarizing, while the steemit boys and girls club continue hyping of their investment with no one there to criticize them or their content. Good luck to those of you who locked in for 2 years, I'll see you in Metropolis.
Or you could change the trend and debate with people...
EDIT: Another thing to consider. I played it safe when I thought Bitcoin was cool and was selling for $0.005/BTC. I feel like the fool now. Here you don't have to spend a dime if you don't want to. Whether people debate or not is up to people. Plenty of controversial stuff is posted. Yet people are still trying to learn. Most of them don't realize yet that voting doesn't payout nearly as well as replying. So debates will earn them more money. :)
