What is your Steemit plan? Are you here only for the money? Let's talk...

Hello everyone! How are things? I hope you are all having a great new week.

10th of September today and it's been...exactly 9 months since I joined this platform. It was January 10th when I received that confirmation mail. I still remember the excitement.

Those of you who were here during the early days of 2018 definitely remember that breeze of hope, the sense of a positive aura. People were posting three / four / five times a day....

Steem was sitting at 4+$ and you were having the feeling that this is only going to get bigger and bigger. Right? At least that's what I was thinking as a newcomer. That in no time, steem and cryptos are the answer to all my financial problems.

I entered Steemit without any plan actually. I accidentally found out about it and I just said to myself: Why the hell not? Let's try this too... More or less all of us have used Facebook or Instagram, so let's try this one too. Besides is there anyone who doesn't want to get paid for blogging? NO!

Cmon...let's be honest. If it wasn't for money most of us probably wouldn't have been here in the first place. So don't pretend to be a saint... Actually this was my initial approach. And mainly this is why I registered in the first place. Money make the world roll...

So fast forward on today. Exactly nine months later and I am still here, while many of those people who I used to interact during my early days are gone...I get it... Cryptos are getting hammered every single day since then. Therefore people are less active... in fact...much less.

So as I said before I came here without a plan. But this has changed those last few months. You see, never before I considered being a blogger. But it turns out that I really enjoying doing it. So this is a change of view I suppose. Also I really enjoy being active every single day, either by posting or commenting or spending some time in discord channels.

What I really think is a big change though, is the way I try to push smaller accounts than mine to grow , as I think it is the only way we can move forward. And this is the proof of it...

Unfortunately I am not a whale (yet :P) to skyrocket your accounts but I do what I can....

But there is one thing that haven't changed. And as time goes by this belief just gets stronger and stronger. And that is that cryptos are the future!

That being said, I think that after all...I do have plan...even though I didn't plan it.

PS. Those of you who have 30 / 100 SP and want to delegate to @steem-ua to get a boost on your accounts, might wanna read this post of mine and I will gladly help you!

Until next time...
Stay awesome!

They told me I would get rich here! So here I am!!! :P

Fasten your seat belt. We are about to take off....do you have any idea when?

This year is our year.

Fingers crossed!

You said honestly and the reason behind joining steemit might be earning money but steemit gives also much knowledge which Facebook and Instagram doesn't...except some unnecessary post on steemit...
I am also attracted to steemit for money but now it gives me some lesson as well...

Good to know you have positive attitude!

Happy that you have stayed here in Steemit @mindtrap.Most of us came here seeing the payout. But if you came and stayed you must have strong passion and willpower. Many of us thinks Steemit as an easy way to makemoney. I dont think like that. Now I am considering it as just like FB.If I get some money I think its an added advantage .When I started thinking like that I have no issues now. :)

I don't really think that has to do anything with Facebook, but I think I know what you mean. There is constant development of the platform by the devs and every single day something new and useful pops up. Money sure is the main factor, but if you stay positive and try add value to others too, and enjoy what you are doing, then inevitably you'll grow too. It is a community effort.

I am just imagining it like a normal social media platform. That is what I meant @mindtrap. Any way all the very best for your future here.

That's exactly what it is actually. A bit more...advanced though. Just have fun @bhaski!

Let's face it......I wouldn't be here unless there was money to be made. It is a little bit of a struggle to blog and keep my anonymity and I am more of a private person than someone who has to share everything. That being said, it has been great getting to know people across the globe, and even forge some steemit friendships.

My plan is simple. Post once a day and engage and support the folks who are interesting and informative. Enjoy the big SP bonuses and buy STEEM when the market it low. Enjoy the rewards and cash some out to diversify when the SBD rewards are high.

I am doing this by exploring the DAPPS and communities that exist here. Next phase will be to get into more delegation and adopting smaller STEEMians and helping them in a greater way than my enthralling comments and teeny tiny upvotes.

Otherwise, this is the wild west for me and I am just discovering my way in this lawless frontier.

none of us would...trust me on that.

Next phase will be to get into more delegation and adopting smaller STEEMians and helping them in a greater way than my enthralling comments and teeny tiny upvotes.

My perspective is that every single vote counts. I wish I could thousands hose tiny upvotes in my posts. When people realize that together we can achieve great things then the whole scenery is going to change.

PS. I think if you could somehow could attend to SF3 you will come back home a lot more oimistic...Just saying

Oh I am totally optimistic! I just have a simple plan and am enjoying the hell out of myself even when STEEM is below a buck. Doesn't phase me and I am in it for the long haul.

I am actually glad it slowed down because I was feeling like I had missed the boat in January when I essentially started. The networking and friends we make now will be invaluable when the early majority floods in.

That's what I want to hear. Speaking my mind actually. Nailed it 100%

What is that gif? A dollar angel? LOL
Well, the crypto is the money end like some people I would like to travel on it.

Posting is a therapy for me. Yes, it can be tough when those you love disapper and I believe they are waiting fot the crypto come back to reenter the scene.

Posting is therapy for me too @rebeccabe
But since posting in this platform involves rewards too, why do they disappear? I mean I get it...prices are super low, but I still believe that just some $$$ are better than no $$$

$$$ may drop more but in the end, I believe it will shoot way up.
Maybe people value their time more than we do. LOL

i think the number one reason everyone came here was the money and then depending on what he saw here and his character stayed or quit for different reasons ofc.

Helping accounts that are new or in general people with low sp is the future. I used to do that quite a lot a couple of months ago and wanna do it again but time pressures me! i hope more people with the mindset of yours come to this platform and more newbies that are already here to embrace this mindset!

Thanks so much for your kind words. We were once that newcomers remember? How can anyone forget that actually?

and especially if you received that kindness when you were a newcomer as you said you "have to" give it back somehow!

I do not think there is anyone here one steemit, who can say that the money wasn't the main approaching reason.
I personally discovered steemit by exploring the cryptoworld (faucets, mining, eobot, hashflare e.t.c), the reason is obvious "free money" basically thats was what I believed back then. I became part of steemit a few months after you ( early March).
Good work @mindtrap!!

But as it turns out it's not that free after all!
Needs persistence, commitment...effort and investment from time to time too....and iiif you get lucky, then you can start dreaming big!

Heh, well coming in on the wings of motivation, I've actually outlined my personal goals pretty early on -- posting em publicly, as motivation research suggests. They're mostly about engaging with the community and learning about STEEM and crypto in general a bit every day. Also creating a bit of content on the topics I'm interested in, but that "small post every day" is not something I can manage just yet, that was a bit overoptimistic -- I can't "focus" enough ideas for that, but doing well on my

I'm an introvert who does not engage with people on other social networks, like, at all. But I really should, so I'm using STEEM as a motivator, more like a game than an opportunity to earn -- I don't have the spare cash to invest in anything nor the content that could have a wider audience. Doesn't mean I don't optimize a portion of my upvotes for SP -- getting those power points at all feels good already! (Plus the idea that my upvotes can matter more later on).

PLUS it gave me an excuse to start scribbling stuff, which while terrible at, I kind of love.

Well, I think you should work on that here. Engagement is probably the number 1 factor in order for people to follow and see if they are interested in what you have to say / post.

Other than that I'll agree. As soon as steem's price climbs again every vote will have bigger weight!

Well, I think you should work on that here.
Yeah, that's why I'm here after all. On STEEM I engage with folks fairly often, I think.
I understand that on traditional social media there's "social capital" as well, but my warped brain just doesn't see it that way. Here, on the other hand, whatever little "value token" I get is enough positive extrinsic stimulation. 😄

I'm not just here for money, mindtrap

I know @suntree!
I am 100% sure about you!
