MY ENTRY 100 DAYS OF STEEM: Day 11 - Weekly Writing Challenge #2 My Favorite Movie

Without a doubt my favorite movie of all time; "The Gods Must Be Crazy", from 1980.
I saw it for the first time in my youth. I think I cried from laughing so much in the theater. The film tells the story of a Bushman farmer from the Kalahari. Whoever finds a Coca Cola bottle that falls from a plane, is already laughing at this absurd scene. This man brings this new and amazing artifact to the village where they see it as a gift from the gods, but the gift becomes a cause of conflict as everyone gets different uses for it and even though they take turns to do so, they end up fighting to possess the object, thus that in order to preserve peace in the town they decide to get rid of this evil object. Therefore, this Bushman who found the bottle of "Coca Cola" must travel “To the end of the world” to get rid of the conflictive object.

During his travel , several stories or subplots take place where the protagonist goes from one character to another and the humor is soft , but makes anyone who identifies with one of the characters laugh wildly.

I did not find any version of the movie online, but an interesting file from "New York Time"

And Wikipedia information can not miss:

The Gods Must Be Crazy is a 1980 South African comedy film written and directed by Jamie Uys. Financed only from local sources, it is the most commercially successful release in the history of South Africa's film industry.[3] Originally released in 1980, the film is the first in The Gods Must Be Crazy series. It is followed by one official sequel, The Gods Must Be Crazy II, released by Columbia Pictures.

Set in Botswana, it follows the story of Xi, a San of the Kalahari Desert (played by Namibian San farmer Nǃxau ǂToma) whose tribe has no knowledge of the world beyond, Andrew Steyn (Marius Weyers), a biologist who analyzes manure samples for his PhD dissertation, and Kate Thompson (Sandra Prinsloo), a newly hired village school teacher.

Additional Information.

I have seen her many times, I do not remember how many. Although seeing it lately, I do it from a different angle, since I did some "World Music" studies focused specifically on South African artists. This led me to become interested in the Bushmen of the Kalahari, especially as it relates to their knowledge of survival and plant properties. In fact, I wrote an article about it here on Steemit some time ago.

These Bushmen are indigenous peoples of southern Africa. Throughout their population, we can see that they are great gatherers and hunters, although they show great respect for animals, apologize to the animal intended to feed their family, and hunt strictly for family food. From childhood they learn deeply about nature and the balance of the environment that does not break.
