RE: Lack of Whale UpVotes Got You Down?

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

I would love to say that it is temporary, or cyclic, but that's not the case. You see, the designers attempted something here that was tried once before in history, after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The International Monetary Fund looked at the situation and asked, "How do we shock this society into becoming a free-market based, Capitalist system?" They looked to history themselves and decided that concentrating economic power in the hands of a small group of individuals, who were to act as benefactors - their activity would stimulate the overall system, from the top-down.

Well, that didn't happen, and it is not happening here. :-)

The desired outcome here, was that people would see the benefit of having a lot of STEEM Power and buy as much as they possibly could, thus infusing the system with a lot of high value STEEM - but instead, due to the behaviour of The Whales, who are exhibiting serious bias - people see this, and they are pissed off, refusing to invest until this is remedied.
