Honestly, I consider that this publication is not about anything special, in fact it is a short and colloquial writing, related to a seemingly real fact both in my esteemed Steemit and in my beloved Venezuela.

Therefore, I can be said that this Post also corresponds to the fantasy and the virtual; in parabolic and educational simile of a supposed reality that we have a hard time understanding and improving, and maybe it is based on our dreams or nightmares?

The Benefactor Apple-Tree

There was once, in the central square of a small and secluded town, a beautiful and leafy Apple-tree, which miraculously throughout the year generated its delicious fruits for the satisfaction of all the inhabitants of the place.

Every day, in the afternoon, the citizens of the aforementioned town went in order to collect the ripe apples that the tree produced, to satisfy the afternoon hunger and the enjoyment of all the townsfolks.

Due to the importance that the Apple-tree had for the population, a committee of shelter and care was created, with the purpose of periodically throwing water, fertilizer, removing the weeds and harmful insects and also to avoid the negative actions that unfortunately sought commit some foolish inhabitants against the Apple-tree.

Thanks to Mother Nature and the good work of good caregivers, the Apple-tree grew more and produced more and better Apples, both in flavor and in size. For this reason, the citizens in altruistic vocation decided to help the friends of surrounding towns and gave them the information and permission to come to town to collect a part of the miraculous Apples.

The Greed of the Foolish Against the Apple-Tree

However, motivated by greed, many villagers joined evil and foolish inhabitants of the neighboring towns invited to "plunder" with violence as many apples as possible offered by the tree.

But the members of the caregivers' committee resisted the looters by trade and tried to teach and advise people to avoid causing irreversible damage to such a prodigious Apple-tree.

Sadly, the foolish and evil plunderers joined other greedy ignoramuses, and they won the battle to the good caretakers; thanks also to the silence of those who preferred not to comment or support, much less act to defend the Apple-tree, because they did not care about anything or simply because of laziness or fear and to avoid getting into trouble.

And just at that moment began the human blight of indiscriminate looting, and the ordeal for poor Apple-tree; because people went crazy, in insane competition from those who took as many apples as possible.

The Sad Apple-Tree

With displeasure, at all times they could see a lot of people around the Apple-tree, throwing sticks and stones at the tree to knock down the apples, with treacherous actions laden with greed and evil to break the branches of the tree and destroy their leaves, flowers and incipient fruits.

In the same way, they extracted not only ripe apples but also green ones; and to cause greater damage, they broke their branches to be used as firewood and to cook at the feet of the tree, unmercifully damaging their roots.

With total lack of irrigation, fertilizer and well-deserved care; and on the contrary, with all the ill-treatment received, the fatal outcome was as expected, and poor Apple-tree died, dried up forever. He could never recover from the toxic actions carried out by fools and ignorant greedy and destructive looters.

And as the plagues always come together, over the once thriving town was unleashed a terrible drought, which made the majority of its inhabitants flee in terror and practically turned it into a ghostly and miserable town, with the complaining and hungry neighbors who chose to stay ; and wanderers around the world who decided to flee to save themselves.

Apple-Tree and Similarity with Venezuela and with Steeemit?

Obviously, I consider that "Venezuelans" are currently living this situation, and we know perfectly well the causes and consequences for which we are as we are today; therefore, it would be absurd to try to explain something that we all already live and suffer daily: The Apple-tree dies, the Country already seems a ghost town of impoverished souls in pain and only the moaning and hungry inhabitants are here who decided not to flee to this misfortune...

With regard to Steemit, it can be inferred that this platform could run with the same bad luck of the aforementioned Apple-tree, apparently it is destroyed from the inside, and we are the users, witnesses and investors. And unless "something" changes in the consciousness of all of us, I do not think that Steemit can last much longer, because it is denoted that we lead it to follow the fatal fate of Apple-tree.

Explained with "Apples", the simile and the metaphor seem to be very clear to understand them (I think); Therefore, I believe that if we do not act together teaching and acting properly and for the right purposes, in order to safeguard the platform from the evil actions of the evil and ignorant, tomorrow could "dry up" and exhaust the fund of Steemit rewards and disappear the platform; for the sad sadness of all of us, being especially unfortunate for us: impoverished Venezuelans.

Could we do something to prevent it?

Read half but interesting!!!!

Excelente post!
