What I took from @ned 's livestream on Thursday.

My thoughts and just my thoughts to what was said by Steemit Inc. This in regards to the layoffs and the way forward outlined by Ned.

Please feel free to leave comments below I and I will do my best to respond.

I tend to agree that Ned has seemed quite awkward on most of his on screen as well as in the live session I saw at Steemfest. That being said, his effort of trying to increase communication is certainly a welcomed change so kudos to him on that front. I'm non technical as well, but from my perspective, one of the strengths Steem has is the community, and I would encourage him to continue communicating and calling on help from the community. This rally cry to bring together your core, will build a community that is unbreakable regardless of the market. My 2 cents :)

Our community here is what is keeping everything together through lows we are experiencing (both technical and financial). There is so much love here it is astounding and this is what is keeping me motivated about Steem.

Do you have any insight into how D.tube is going to adapt or move forward now? Is there any way I or the community could help in this regard?

At this time I do not as I think most of the dApp developers are working on strategy and waiting to see what Steemit, Inc. will be doing. I think the delay/stop on SMT's will force some changes that they will all be adapting to for the next few weeks while they re-work their strategy. I know everyone in the community will lend support and certainly appreciate that you are willing as well!

I hope Steemit Inc. are having pvt and clear conversations with all app and dapp developers. I would be worried if they didn't. Our drive and love needs to harnessed, not squandered or ignored. It would be a terrible waste.

I am new here, joined in August, and I do not know everything there is to know about the blockchain. However, I do know that it took a lot for him to put himself out there and admit he made some mistakes. I admire that.

Thank you so much for explaining the things you did. I do appreciate it very much. Like I said, I am very new and I look for people who are willing to explain as much as possible.

Thanks,
Ren

Yes and from that point we can all move forward together.

I agree as it can be a little overwhelming at first to understand what Steem is all about. Though in a sense it is amazing to see how deep and multifaceted this ecosystem is. Plus the community is the strong asset and there is so much love here.

When we first started, we were impressed at the interaction of the community. It was mind blowing really. We have been on Facebook and YouTube for three years and rarely get any engagement. Here, we were talked to, encouraged, and accepted. It was amazing.

Since, we have found we are appreciated and what we say is important. It has helped us create and encourage good, quality content to entertain others. It has also helped drive us to focus more on the travels we take and how we approach them. What is it we can do to engage and entertain with what we produce? Where can we go that will encourage others to find near their home? How can we best tell our story so that others are part of it? These are questions I now think about as we pack up the Tank and head out. I didnt do that before Steem.

The guy didn't put me at ease at all. IF anything it felt like the beginning of the end of something when he spoke. I am not the only one that felt so.

Maybe you are right and only time will tell. Though there are so many people in our community that will do everything in their power to make this work...in one form or another.

I think I am one of them - it's why it disturbs me. You should talk to @igster he has a lot of thoughts on the matter at hand.

I get the feeling the vast majority still here, despite the low price of Steem have a lot of passion for this blockchain. This passion and drive needs to be harnessed. We need leadership.

In my personal opinion, we’ve way too many people here on Steem like talking about others. What other should do and shouldn’t do.

Let’s focus on what we can do to make Steem a better place.

Look at Bitcoin and Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin works with out him and Steem Blockchain is also build that way to work itself through decentralisation.

It’s a new month and let’s focus on what we can do to make a difference!

Oh I can agree with you on people love talking about others a little too much. Unfortunately that is human nature, regardless it still remains overall positive.

I want to know how we can make D.tube better and sustainable on it's own two feet. I want to help where I can (other than spread the word of this app)

Did Steemit Inc. take you up on your offer to help them out?

Totally agree with human nature!!

I’ve a vision to make Dtube sustainable and that’s the main reason that I’m creating DtubeFamily777. I’ll be in touch soon to talk to you directly!

My offer on the table and I do not expect anything and in few more months, I’ll become so good that no one can ignore me!

Talk to you soon buddy:)

I love your positivity and drive :)

I look forward to talking with you privately.

cheers,
