Glad to you see you signed up for our SF meetup! Meetup.com should have a 50% promotion so it's about $7.50 a month for the first six months and then $15/mo. It's mainly for marketing and for group management tools. You can always start on Steemit to see how it goes and then officially sign up to meetup after you get used to running a few meetups. ttyl!
