"Flag Wars" On Steemit Causes Loss Of Viewers, Followers, Bloggers, Friends & Potential Customers-New Measures Taken.

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

Recent "flag wars" on steemit seem to be the new rave. Many deem that the blockchain is lawless in a manner of
speaking as some have taken to new heights in attacks, leading to new counter measures by reputable steemers.

To a newcomer, this is a chaotic mess. It's confusing, it's misleading to them as the idea of the blockchain is
to have freedom in views and opinion without a virtual police state so to speak. At least that is what many
understand it to be. Some fall under flagging attack as soon as the first post. Some, eventually air a post that is
disagreed with by supposed "popular opinion", which lately is just a rash of "Bots" or multiple accounts owned by
the same person flagging in an attempt to hide the post from viewers using steemit.com. Users become frustrated and
upset. Some may even get depressed thinking that their post they put so much heart into, was so awful to so many
"others". Then there is just plain out angry. To those that get dishearted they just go away and about their day,
while angry tend to lash back and jump into the fight. This leads to more "bots", and what I consider personally to
be more of what I would call false accounts.

This could become a huge issue to new users alone. This platform is what we make of it on a daily basis. In short,
steemers do not realize the backlash this will have in the long run. Like many other places we may go in life, we are
typically labeled by group, or social status, or our gatherings. Social "Circles" become very tight knit. When we
gain so much steempower, earnings, or reputation we have the power then to cast out in a sense all new or not in the
circle by flagging, with high reputation & with large followings. When this happens, the blockchain then belongs to
the so called "Virtual Elite" circle without patent, copyright, or trademark. Pretty sure this is a well known fact
that is being overlooked.

"Flaggots" & "Whales"?
Lets face the fact that this is just outright name calling, and the best that has been brought to the table of it's nature.
A "Flaggot/s" is a person that flag attacks alone or with bots and followings.
A "Whale" is a reputable user with a large following and big earnings.
As you can see these 2 can fall into the same person category.
The choice belongs to each user, no matter how reputable. It's up to the "Big Guys" to not abuse the power.
It's up to everyone to choose Mute instead of flags and wars. Or, to simply look the other way, move on, close the page, or
decide it's not for you in your opinion and let is casually be.
New users abuse flagging often. End up flagging "Big Guys", This leads to backlashes. All is taken. User becomes - reputation.
Game over.
We must all work together to create a concrete overall, reputable standing on this blockchain. No matter where you post from.

New measures have been taken in the fight against flagging. And you would be happy to know that there is a cure for the
standing "Epidemic" we call "Flag Wars". More than 1.

1.) Codes have been created by various users and are FREE to the public in a common knowledge, open source post by @klye

2.) New Website to experience the steem blockchain can be found @Busy.org and www.busy.org , where post seem to not be hidden
when flagged. It's Beta. Epic, epic chance to grow with them. Experience their creation, and post your opinion and concerns on
likes and possible bugs. Help shape it. Also, chat live and make a friend in various chat categories.

3.) New Users learn to not over react in a new situation which is easy to do. A feeling of panic as you walk into the new classroom.
Be cool. We all see you, I promise. With every post. If flagged, or flag attacked, follow one of these options posted here.
Not all are the same and you may just be flagged by 1 person's opinion per say, and their "Bot" Accounts. It takes time to grow.
If a steemcleaner flags you, post again in appropriate manner without backlash. Remember new Steemian, the world is watching.

4.) "Virtual Elites" or "Big Guys", we as a blockchain need you to share what the world shared with you. That is: Some growing
patience. And share some upvote love please to the little guys sometimes and help them grow. As a community and a whole we all
helped you grow to what you are in reputation and standings. Without one another, success does not exist. Connect the
small and the large links to make a solid chain. Together WE grow.

You are supporting the person behind 2 of the flag bots.

I had a change of heart some time ago my friend. You should do the same now and stop stalking my blog. The world is watching you. They can go to my blog and see that you have flagged every post I have made since the creation of my blog. Then they can go to yours and your 3 bots that keep flagging them and see the clear difference in who is doing what. Please do something nice & decent with your time and bots, ok.

WARNING!!!! This account is owned by the same person that unleashed the flag bots @livehonest and @livemoral on steemit. If you upvote you are supporting a serial steemit abuser.

And don't forget the Mute war :)
A silent personal gun :(

Why put returns everywhere ? Your text is very hard to read,

The flag is a bad representation of the downvote. Nobody should be made feel like they shouldn't use their vote one way or the other. If I don't like how much a post is making it is my right to vote to have a small portion of their rewards redistributed to other authors.
