How to increase A post's payout Organically: Build an investment, not a salary!

Finding ways to see your post's payout increase without contributing to "bid-bots" can be a hard task, but not impossible. This series is to target those who still wish to go the good old organic way and get payouts through other means than bidding on bots. I will research any means possible through these episodes to optimize a posts payout without having to gamble your precious steem on bidding

Why do I embrace the idea of fully organically posts?

It gets harder and harder to differentiate what the community thinks is a good post and what the authors thinks is a good post. Everyone can look at their work and say "Yeah, that should at least be 100 dollars". By promoting other opportunities for people to take different paths it is my hope to move people away from this market and start growing their account and posts in an organic and healthy way for the platform. While I do believe promotions has its uses for special scenarios, it is far from necessary for the average steemian

Without further a due let's proceed to the real part of the article, In each article, I will go into depth about 1 new opportunity to find extra payouts as an organic author!

This episode: Build an Investment, not a salary!

Some die-hard followers probably know I have written this sentence before. But the mentality of this is crucial in a time of our red market where steem just ain't worth much as it used to. So what can we do to fight these low numbers that everyone are receiving and voting with? We look at the Steem it gives us. To people who don't know, you still pretty much get the same steem as we did earlier this year when steem was at 5 dollars.

In fact, because of the falling user activity and our hardfork that gives all votes before 15 minutes back to the reward-pool, you could say we are earning MORE STEEM steem than ever before. That is also why you probably have seen your voting value go up, despite the value of steem not rising. So basically we all are right now getting a much larger amount of steem.

So would it not make sense to instead calculating what you earn in dollars, to calculate it in steem?

Comparison of payment

a few days ago I did my own calculations and I managed to earn 170steem in 1 week. That's a lot, I know. But if I were to sell those 170steem right now it would not be that much money really. But what happens if I power it up instead?

For those of you who actually want to be a long-term user of steem this is currently the best move you can do for yourself. Don't power down and sell every single steem you are earning, but instead power up and wait for steem to rise again and of course meanwhile putting your steem to good use to generate even more.

Imagine in let's say, half a year when SMT should start getting close. that steem should see a shot to 5 dollars again. That 170 steem suddenly are quite a lot of money and suddenly I have earned 850 dollars in one week.(actually, I have hopes it would go even higher but let's just stay humble here).

That's not too bad if you ask me.

So even if you have been working hard and your post only earn a small amount, there's a good chance it will be much higher a little down the road. Sure you might risk a little to lose all of your hard earned steem if it one day should go down. But do you see that being realistic? While this might not be a direct way to increase your "payout", it is an important factor to remember while our payouts might look a little pale and in the long run, it could mean you actually made a huge amount of money.

So stop looking at how many dollars your post earns, but instead look at the amount of steem you earn!

Nonetheless, a great way to boost your posts Organically

I agree 100%. I have never taken a single cent from steem. In fact, I mine ETH and convert/power it up every day. Eventually it will be worth a lot more. Great advice!

Yeah I also have done a bit the same. some other cryptos I had was rising a lot and just putted it over in steem. Good strategy!

Hah, the thing is that if it spikes higher than 5$(and it probably really will), there's not enough time to power down and take the "profits" :D

Maybe not all of it;) But enough!

Hmmm...if you power down, it gets released continually? I thought you have to wait that time (now 13 weeks if I'm not mistaken) and then it suddenly all appears as liquid STEEM. Hmmm that's really good to know :D

it gets cut into 13 smaller payouts weekly!
