RE: Your 2 Cent Vote is Worthless, The Real Deal on Dust Votes

in #steemit3 years ago

I also posted about this this week @thedarkhorse but I seem to have misled my followers. I will need to go and edit the post and recommend a 0.3C vote for comments.

In fact I wonder if it's even worth the "little" people voting on comments at all. As you say, maybe it would be better to stick to voting on posts.

I've reduced the number of votes I've been giving on comments and upped the votes I do give to a minimum of 0.2C but this seriously reduces my VP fast!

Seems like I'm going to have to have yet another rethink! &#128546

Thanks for the additional heads up!

IMO it's not worth little people to vote on comments at all. They need to save that voting power for posts where their vote will be counted as they normally break the 0.03 displayed vote.

Very good advice about no comment voting - takes the stress off too.

Once you have the SP to give a good comment vote it's worth it to reward those who engage IMO.

That's what I'm beginning to think too @thedarkhorse! I've been really surprised at just how quickly my VP goes down with 0.2C votes and I'm lucky enough to have a couple of delegations. Seems wrong though doesn't it. I want to encourage people to join the conversation!

Something to consider is using Steem-Bounty on your posts. Then if you upvote with even .005 to all comments they will split the bounty.

Thanks @thedarkhorse. I'll add it to my ever increasing list of things to look at. 😁
