I'm delegating 500SP to two users for two months: Nominations required
I have noticed a few Steemit users putting in some effort in support of new users through initiatives like the Redfish and #tenkminnows power up leagues that @paulag works on and also through users like @abh12345 and my brother @tarazkp who have supported many users over their time on the platform. Well done to you and to all the others who have done so as well. I am sure there are many out there who are grateful for your assistance and have carried that torch forward in their own journey. I am one of those who my brother helped and so it's time to pay it forward.
Do you know someone who needs help getting on track?
I have done a couple of little things here and there on the platform, generous things, however have decided to throw my hat in the ring with the likes of the very generous and community-oriented aforementioned, and un-named users before me, with an offer of an SP delegation to a couple of users. There's nothing you have to do to have the chance...Just be nominated by another user in the format below. Read on for the details.
What you will receive:
- 250SP delegation from me for 2 months (60 days). This is 250SP each, for two individual users.
To be considered:
- You must be nominated by another user and you must have an SP of 499SP and less. Nominations must be natural people, not bots. This will be checked of course.
How do you nominate a user:
- Simply reply to this post and in 50 words or less tell me why you have chosen to nominate the user and why they deserve my 250SP delegation for 2 months. Please also tag the user you nominate.
- [Edit] Please limit your nominations to one user only.
Can you nominate yourself:
- You can however you will not be selected. This initiative is designed to support users who actively post and engage on the platform which is why nominations must come from another user and not oneself. If you have been active and have engaged your efforts will be rewarded by a nomination.
How long do you have to nominate:
- I will take a look at all the nomination replies on the expiration of 7 days from this post going live. I will be selecting the users to receive my delegation personally and my decision will be final.
What is the selection criteria:
- As above, nominations must have under 499SP, at the time of being considered. I will weigh up the 50 word reason given by the nominator and will also take a look at the nominee's feed, replies and comments.
Why am I doing this:
- I hope to help a couple of users who are struggling to bring it all together. My hope is that the people who are nominated, and subsequently delegated to, take advantage of the increased SP to get after it and push forward with their Steemit journey.
- I want to give a little something back to the platform because I have taken so much enjoyment from it.
- I want to demonstrate that the platform cares about new users, that it is possible, through active engagement, to build relationships and grow and that there is a lot of value to be found, not just from a crypto/financial perspective.
- Lastly...Well, because I try to be the best version of myself that I can be, as often as possible and this is me simply doing that.
So, I hope this makes sense. Please keep in mind I am not a Steemit whiz-kid and so I may have messed this up in some way. If I have please be lenient and respectful when you point it out to me...Or not, it's your decision.

it's so hard to only nominate 1 person. I saw this post this morning when it was published and had to really think about this because there are so many awesome people worth of delegation.
with that said I would like to nominate @curatorcat. @curatorcat is a small fish with big potential. Always engaging and I was so sorry they didn't fall in with the make 250 new minnows event last month. However, @curatorcat got stuck in helping us make minnows . This is an account worth delegating to and I do hope that you will accept this comment as my nomination

I'm just a believer in the idea that if we all help each other move forward, it moves the entire community forward; ultimately, my motivation for supporting the minnow-making initiatives could be considered "selfish" because I also get to benefit from Steem having a larger middle class.
Truth in disclosure for @galenkp: I currently am at about 408SP, but I do effectively have 500+ SP thanks to a "gift" delegation I've had for some time.

I will nominate @wildhomesteading as he is another Redfish being supported by @hitmeasap to reach minnow and in seeing his content, I think you woukd enjoy it as I have found it really interesting given I am so far from that reality although I would love to do it at one point.

I'll nominate @nooblogger. He hasn't been around these parts very long, but in the short time I've noticed him (he came to my attention using the Lego tag), he's consistently posting and interacting with those who take the time to comment on his work. Has a strong future here.
Uhm, this usually looks like a not so easy task for me nominate someone for these sort of delegation contests. More than anything, because I think I am an old misfit hermit that usually do not receive many comments in my posts by daring plankton & red fishes as to know them enough to recommend them.
I suspect the main reason must be that they are too afraid to interact with me to avoid being infected by the lethal disease of the humorous extravagance. };)
However, lately, I found a couple of daredevil renegades, mavericks and formidable outlaws that they have given me the opportunity to know them better and that I think they have the right conditions to nominate them.
One of them appears like he is not active anymore since three months ago. So for now I will discard him.
Therefore my nomination for your offer of the 250 SP delegation is gonna be for one of the few heretics that I know who still are in the process to enter on minnowsdom. He has now exactly 257.423 SP and I believe he will be immensely happy if through your potential delegation he finally could get that damn vote slider by just one hit that took me to myself three long years to get it.
I just hope that if you grant it to him, that he doesn't start fucking around with the slider and he dare to upvote my posts and comments with less than 100% of his VP };).
As you can see, I don't play very well with rules. And solely 50 words for me were too few to persuade you that my nominee is the best choice. I just hope I have fulfilled the mission with profusely verbose eloquence. :)
Quite loquacious indeed @por500bolos. Where to begin, I can assure all-parties I would be most appreciative to receive a delegation and will continue my commitment to inspiring glorious acts of engagement and content creation for one and all. Which is to say guaranteed 100% upvotes for the nominator and a life long fan of all involved in securing said delegation. Bribery on the blockchain, I'm all about full disclosure and transparency.
I'm of course joking, that's mostly what I do around here, which is how I've come to know my potential benefactor. Birds of a feather as such. Now I'm feeling guilty about not following through on my promise to watch all those links and give my witty commentary on that post about banksters the other day. I'll get right on that after I finish my dragon week research. That's right it's dragon week!
I hope I haven't blown it with my own verbosity. A simple and succinct thanks I'm humbled would've probably sufficed. Just imagine what my acceptance speech will be like though. It will shake the steem right out of a whales wallet..

Yes, that's right. I'm totally convinced that we actually need a lot more derelict mavericks and eccentric oddballs in this place with a well shaved tongue to point out the obvious with rumbling humor and reverberating resonance. Thus, we need more 500+ SP minnows with a stronger say.
And I have the hunch that in this specific department, you @skramatters will do a great job. :)

I would like to nominate @mermaidvampire who deserves to get that delegation. She is an amazing Steemian who relentlessly gives so much efforts to the members of this community. She organizes contests and games and gives planktons a chance to become red fishes. In her challenges and contest, there are no losers! Despite her illness, (waiting for her kidney transplant) she still manages to give newbies a helping hand on how to go about their accounts by giving tips and by giving back what she earns from the platform in form of rewards for her contests. Only users with under 499SP or less are eligible for my delegation. This is not a reward-initiative, it's designed to assist smaller users to grow and develop, and to engage. @mermaidvampire does some great work which is appreciated by many smaller accounts and I'm sure she would prefer my delegation goes to a couple of smaller accounts. Thanks for your interest though. Depending on the success of this delegation I may broaden the criteria next time.
