More Steemit UI Goodies: You Can Now Steem In As Many As 5 Different Languages

in #steemit6 years ago

Yeah, folks, I don't know if you saw this - or if you use this - but Steemit UI is now available in 5 languages:

  • English
  • Spanish
  • Russian
  • French
  • Italian

You can set your languages from the Settings tab in your profile, and just for fun, here's how Steemit header / account section looks in 5 different languages.

My favorites: tendencia from Spanish, impostazioni from Italian, and, obviously, portefeuille from French.

Steem on!

I haven't notice that until read your post. Good for the people having those language as mother tongue. Though my mother tongue won't be available here but even if available, I will choose English

More languages means more people coming in to Steemit. We all should work to make Steemit hit 1 Million users by the end of the year 2017. But the 7 days wait does not help that much. My Nephew has been trying to register for weeks without any success. Registering to Steemit is a piece of cake. Very Fast, but getting approved is another game.

one of a kind memories

Thats AWESOME. Great News.

That's great news. All the new improvements are great, I even like the new logo. I just want to add that there's an alternative to steemit if someone is looking for another language to interact with the steem blockchain. Probably everyone knows about it, is Busy.org .
From my count it has 40 languages to choose for the user interface and as a bonus there's a setting to choose your voting power as a default or for every vote you cast. Here's a screenshoot of the settings page from busy.org

Yeap, I know busy since its inception, last year at SteemFest, first edition. But thanks for chipping in.

Hopefully it will help bring more users in!!!

So dumb question, but is this just translating site information? Could this be used to translate posts as well?
