How I am doing on STEEMit and With a Little STEEM

Previous updates

Since SteemWhales.com is dead. I have decided to alter my updates to show my general progress on STEEMit and cryptotrading using STEEM/SBD. In December, I did my best to post at least one article a day and I earned my first Monthly Author badge from Steemit Board and now I am up to 2!

On to the stats. Let's see where I am with Vests with SteemDB.

Or, as Steem Supply sees it.

Last month I had increased by 148,000 Vests, so only doing a 65,000 increase is a little bit disappointing, because that is back down to the levels of November.

Onto SteemDB charts to see my activity.

At least my activity looks better, with a solid wall of gray, instead of a picket fence.

Posting activity isn't consistent day in and day out, but at least I'm getting the posts out.

I had 971 followers at the end of last month and now I have 1102 and increase of 131 followers. I had a big jump at the end of the month due to a couple of posts. But, on average, 100 new followers a month is average. I haven't done much to try to attract new followers. I did comment on a bunch of similar posts the other day. You're Welcome!

I had an increase of 799 posts last month. It looks like 800 new posts is about average for the past two months.

I picked up some new upvoters.

Thank you! To my followers and upvoters.

Onto the cryptotrading.

Bittrex - 0.04794186 BTC

bittrex-accountsValue-Feb2018.png

I had 0.05564117 BTC at the beginning of January and now I am at 0.04794186 BTC of value. Down -13.84%

Binance - 0.02268839 BTC

binance-accountsValue-Feb2018.png

I had 0.03021735 BTC at the beginning of the month and now I have a value of 0.02268839 BTC. Down -24.92%
I should note, that the value given for Binance includes those very small accounts that I can't do anything with.

Since the market is off more than 50%, I guess I'm okay. I didn't make any deposits and I only made a couple of trades during this correction. I expect to see things much greener after March 15th.

I really wish SteemWhales would get fixed, it was a little more exciting showing my rankings. Oh, well.

I will also note, that for except for a couple attempts at using upvote and bid bots months ago, I do not use those tools. I also do not have any delegated Steem POWER helping me increase my Rewards. I haven't bought into any Steem POWER and except for the small amount that I put into cryptotrading, I have put all of my SBD and STEEM into Steem POWER. All of what I have done since I joined last year in June is by posting and commenting to earn upvotes. For a newbie, with minimum effort, you can achieve the same results as I have. I probably could try harder to get more upvotes and rewards.

Sure, I would like to earn $800 on a post about something that happened 10 days in the past, but Life Isn't Fair and Neither is STEEMit.

Thanks for the show and break down.. I like this type of info. You're doing just fine! Keep on steemin' on brother. I signed up to Binance and have an account but have yet to explore or learn it. I know I know get off my ass and just do it right? You seem comfy with it so question........ Can I, using binance , send earned SBD and or steem to binance and then trade for other cryptos? Any pointers?

You can send STEEM to Binance, but not SBD.
It is paired with BTC, Ethereum (ETH) and Binance (BNB).
binance-steem.png

So, you can sell it for one of those 3 coins. Once you have done that, you can buy other coins that are paired with whatever you sold the STEEM for. Buying and Selling in BNB gets you a discount on the trade fees of 50%.

You can exchange STEEM/SBD on Bittrex.
I wouldn't use Poleniex.
You can do the same with BlockTrades, but I've heard the fees are much much higher.

Thanks for the reply. That helps loads. Yeah, I've seen that many use bittrex but I shy'd away from it when they wanted the amount of info to open an account? I'm not to comfy giving my whole being out to people I don't know but who knows I may have to in the future? BNB is bittrex tokens? I didn't know you could save on the fee's? I wonder if they' ll take SBD's in the future? Good stuff!

Then I bought 4.6 BNB with that 10 STEEM, which took a little bit longer, because I wanted to get more form my STEEM. ;)

This is good. I'm learnin' The process of going from the steem wallet to the binance exchange is bit scary for ne having never done it but I'm sure it's simple once done. First timer my man you know that "am I doin' this right" voice in your head! Haha!

That was the first time I transferred to Binance.
But, it is just like sending any amount to another STEEMian.

I suggest not buying BNB, because there aren't as many coins to choose from as BitCoin (BTC). I'm sure some math wiz would probably figure out the price difference or something, but for ease of use, it looks like ETH or BTC is the best option.

So, I just took my 23 SBD and bought 20 STEEM through the Market.
Paid 22.774 SBD for 20.000 STEEM
Then I transfered 10 STEEM to Binance using the Address and Memo given under the Deposit info for STEEm.
I took that other 10 and Power Up them to Steem POWER.

All since my last reply to you.

BNB is Binance coins.

I don't know if they will accept SBD's in the future. You would assume they would do both.
You can take your SBD to the Market (in the Wallet) and get STEEM, then transfer it to Binance.

Nice! The way I figure it is if I can acquire some of these wallets for say cardano and do this process while they're cheap for say 5 earned steem and forget about them well who knows right? Next step figure out all the wallets!

You don't need the wallets to do trades in Binance.
Binance/Bittrex provide a wallet for you on the exchange.
You only need the coin wallet if you want to HODL.

HODL it is for me! I suppose, even though binance is a Chinese exchange, you feel pretty safe letting them hold your coins?

You can buy in Binance and then transfer to Bittrex, if they have that coin. But, since I'm only using STEEM in Binance, I'm not worried.

nice posting thanks for sharing

Good job!!! Keep going!!

I really wish SteemWhales would get fixed
Me too...I rilly, rilly liked it.

I also do not have any delegated Steem POWER helping me increase my Rewards
why not? Renting SP delegation is the fastest way I know of to increase your SP...it's called leverage. BUT WAIT...it's risk free. You have it for the allotted time period..then it's gone. You don't have any debt when you're done with it.

Who do you use?

block trades.
they may be more expensive but they're professional and have GREAT customer service.
any time I've had a problem. (and I've had many) they've fixed it.
