A short update on health/workout and work life balance

Does whale work? Or minnows only need to go to work? What about dolphins and Ocra?

Basically, for the past 2 weeks I've been spending time trying to adjust myself in heavy blogging style. I refrain myself from doing short posts like Instagrand, Feisbook or Twatter style. Hence sometimes I spent up to 5 hours to prepare 1 blog post. Here's the problem, I thought I'm going to make a quality post in very short time(like within an hour?), but it doesn't. Because typing itself doesn't really require that much of a time. Preparing the blogging material, making screenshots, editing, and even drawing the cute whale had took me like half a day on and off the computer to complete it. I've been slacking from my routine workout. I had not enough sleep, like everyday slept by 1 or 2am. Sometimes after blogging, then suddenly something interesting came up and I had to spend time read it. The worst part was, if that little topic sparks up my interest, I'll dive down and start searching similar topics in Steemit to see what happened to it, like the recent "whale war". Sometimes I stayed up overnight just to finish some "show", I mean those comment column saliva war.

Here I am, kick starting my routine workout again. I wasn't too far behind from my previous record, merely 23seconds behind. After the workout, now that I'm starting to feel the stretch on my forearms, my stomach, and my thighs. I'm sure there's going to be a lot of pain after tonight rests. I'm going to try to wake up tomorrow morning by 4am and do my proper training.

Completely agree, typing the contents is half the work only. But finding supporting photos or materials, arranging them nicely will eat up another half, sometimes up to 70% of time preparing a blog entry

Only 70% of the time? Prep work usually took me more than twice of the presentation time!

@davidke20 I couldn't agreed more with you there, bro. That's why, I can't even maintain one post everyday, due to the long preparation O.o

We need to plan, just like every aspect in our life. I need to get down to this and come up with a million dollar plan. I'm gonna stick to the plan for a certain period and see how it works. Going in blindly will only lead me hit the walls pretty soon. Degrading health is a sign of what is going to happen in future if I live my life as my past 2 weeks.

Indeed, life without planning - walking inside a dark cave without a light (quite challenging and dangerous)

Hopefully, you will get back in shape soon~

Happy to hear you are enjoying Freeletics! Back in College I went from an Athletic-build to more of a power-lifter body (strong but with a layer of fat). I ended up committing to Freeletics for about ~6 months and lost about 20 lbs while retaining 85% of the muscle I had built. It put me in a mindset that lead to losing another 15 lbs in the following year, while weightlifting and gaining some more of that muscle back - ultimately leading to my best health to date.

I was thinking of rejoining once it starts to get nicer outside just to see some of the improvements they have made over the last 2 years (and because it holds a special place in my heart!).

Thank you for replying to this post. I have never subscribe back. They did some thorough changes to include more intervals to bump up the program. You may download the app and see for yourself. I'm using it to track my regular workout instead of following their coaching program nowadays.
