Ripple payment protocol (Ripple pay) was developed in 2004 and was used as a secure payment option globally by Ryan Fugger, by 2012 opencoin developed new payment protocol called Ripple transcation protocol that enables instant transfer of money between two parties by 2013 open coin changed their name to Ripple labs and focus on backing sector to make their payments simple and easy .Now ripple has partnership with most of the leading banks and financial transcation companies like western union ,UAE exchange ,etc ....

They created 100 Billion coins and 20% of the coin is hold by the creators and remaining 80% is given to the Ripple lab
0.2% of the coins were given to charity . As of march 2017 67% of 80% was retained by the company .
In may 2017 ripple decided to keep 57% of 80% in a cryptographically-secured escrow. The escrow will allow them to use up to 1 billion monthly and return whatever the unused at the end of each month back to the escrow

By December 2014 the price reached 0.024152$ with market cap of 749,477,000
And by December 2017 ripple hit 1$ as they announced several partnership with banks for faster payments using ripple network .And 2018 January it hit an all time high by 3$.Now ripple is about 1.07$. Now we can say that Ripple will hit 5-10$ by the end of 2018 as ripple there are rumors that ripple will be partnership with Visa and MasterCard .Also ripple will be listing in coinbase and also Ripple will be listed in zebpay India's leading exchange .
