Sorry to hear that man. Truly am.
As you know I am just starting here now .......... actually would complete my first six months in less than a week. During this time I have found many great things here and I think that I will continue to do so in the future.
In fact steemit has been one of my more interesting experience this year and I really appreciate what all I have been able to do here. In the end I guess we all need to choose the best for us and that is something that I can understand and respect.

Can't say that I have. If I remember correctly you have to participate in their Discord channel activities and events and you might win upvotes for that. I am not sure about all it's implications and uses though.
