Excellent advice @artwatch 👍
Last year around this time (or so) the value of Steem was down to 10 cents.
LOTS of people bailed or lost interest.
This is the time, right now, to keep on posting, perhaps more so now than ever in the future...
Last year I carried on despite the drop, and the result?
Some of those posts that earned $8, $14, $28 @ 10 cents a Steem are NOW worth, even after the drop, $200, $350, and $700 at $2.56 a Steem.
Have some fun with math and dream what these posts (and YOURS) might be worth in 5 years...
I rarely upvote my own comments but I will here to inspire all who read your post.
Please check out my wallet (ugh I only say that never) and know that I've never put a penny in.
It's all from posting and attending both Steemfest 1 (as a curiosity when my rep was only 25) and SteemFest².
Always powering up, never cashed out.
Good luck my friends - You CAN do it!
@scan0017 😘

Financially speaking, if you believe in the long term of Steem, making posts when the price is suppressed is the best time.

why is it better than any other time?

When you are grinding when it is down - your stats still change - your following improves still. When the price is back up all the work/community you built pays dividends when every-bodies voting power is worth more. When it does go up and you are in good standing you are likely to gain better viewership. Better viewership means better payouts later. People just let their accounts die and grow dusty when the markets down. That is time they could have been working for eye balls. And all the money that is collected now is worth quite a lot more when it is high.

interesting!

One of the reasons I post multiple times a day now. Started posting on another account so I could farm that feed too. I mean I used to be pleased at breaking a 1.00 a post, a dollar a day was my goal. At the end of the year I would have 365$ - at the very least it is fun money at the end of the year- but if it spikes back up again like lets say 8$sbd again that 365 suddenly turns into 3 grand US - almost 4 grand Canadian. That is a nice little pillow of money for just aiming for 1$ a day.

Sooooo much yes to this!!!!!! It’s more than whatever another platform pays! People post for free on fb and don’t complain. Lol

Good advice - I'm really posting to provide myself with a creative outlet for all things revolving around music, recipes, and comedy. If I get some coin, that's good too, but not the biggest motivator. Good advice to test things out. I also remember the excitement I got when I reached 100 followers, but why shoudn't I as it happened last week:) - Thanks for the post - #notcomplaining

CONGRATS on the 100! I think you are gonna do just fine here. Have fun with it the best you can. This place, for me is for self therapy most days.

agreed! And there aren't any copays and you don't have to leave your home - Not too bad for this virtual therapist!

Nice post...and I love the image with the two hands a lot ;-)

Thank you, I made it for a contest held on steemit ages ago for a logo contest -- on giving steem for @benjojo account. He still allows me use of the image even though it is technically his logo now to use for charity and what not.

.

If only they were so easily dissuaded...

Steemit is not a money making venture people should understand that, despite the fact that we are been rewarded for our creative contents does not mean we all should fizzy out just because the price of steem is down for now.

Steemit should be view as a long term venture , knowing fully well that the price will still bounce back to its high level sooner. So writing on steemit should be based on passion and the monetary aspect will follow ...

Precisely @obest 👏
Share your interests, your passions, interesting stories and whatever motivates you - You never know who you're going to inspire or help up with the right words at the right time.
The monetary rewards comes later, and often from places you hadn't even considered...

sure...love this line...

nice post and good for those who buy and hodl!
lets keep in touch buddy

I 100% agree! This is the best time to post, experiment and do more.
I need to go back to it, as I have shit load of work to do these days and youtube channel is also taking a lot of my time.

I agree, having fun woth everything is what will keep the motivation and interest.
I think posting regularly is all that matters tho, to not lose the habit. However, there is no need to do the extra grinding, as we can upvote a very limited amount. Unless you really need that money, you can stick to regular posting. If someone cannot post for some reason, I recommend starting a contest as it's a nice way to keep the community together :)

Actually, I guess I can see why you post multiple times. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is a bigger chance that one of the posts will get a decent payout?

I try to limit posting down to only 3 posts a day at the most - just so I don't deplete the kind people that have botted this blog. But I started @porn-watch the other day so that I could keep posting freely...granted the topic needs to sexual in that feed...other than that limitation, I can just keep posting tell I am posted out.

Yes. I feel like posting is similar to gambling. You don't know what eyes will see it and when. So I like to flood steemit with posts with the hope that maybe one or two of them will land on thier feet. I figure keep throwing shit at the wall tell something sticks. I don't like a missed opportunity and thinking about it and not posting causes me anxiety now. I have become completely addicted.

Haha, I guess I'd do the same if I wasn't flooded with work. :D I did at least start quick daily posts, normally I used to post medium post every two days. But I really can't now. So silly quick dragons will have to do for now xD
