What it do Steemians!!!!

I'm really excited to write my write up for the #rapchallenge this week. There were some really great entries submitted yesterday and to show my appreciation I'm going to do the same thing I did last week. Author rewards from this post will be paid out directly to the contents via chainbb.com created by the awesome steemian @jesta.

Scoring and Payout Percentage

At lot of steemian like myself don't have cool video editing capabilities. This does give you a bit of an edge when posting on your own blog. It also adds some flavor to the rap challenge and gets out of the "crappy quality videos" as @kaykunoichi no nicely put it. To ensure a level playing field I will be judging these entries based based on lyrics, delivery, flow and energy. Scoring is as follows:

This week we saw some regulars come back into the fray along with some newcomers. In my view we have a lot of talented MC's from all over the globe. There were 12 artist that submitted entries this week so I will be distributing over 80% of the author rewards from this post directly to the artist. I'm going to go through these entries in the order that I viewed them

It's nice to see a veteran of the rap challenge decide to bless us with some bars this week. To be honest this entry really surprised me. Usually you have a laid back flow but you came hard this week!!! The word play was on point and you rode the beat all the way out of dodge. Somone or somthing lit a fire up under you!! I can tell from your lyrics that you feel like an underdog but you came correct this week!!! I really got to give it to you man!!! I already see an improvement in the way that you spit. I think this might be my favorite from you so far. I like how you integrate the crypto philosophy into your rhymes. You brought that gritty flow as usual !!! We got a newcomer that spit some really dope lyrics. I have a feeling that your are from the west coast by your flow. I couldn't find your blog post at first but then i saw that you posted it four days ago. You should try to do it the day of to get more exposure and visibility. I had to ding you on the energy which was one of the main lessons that I learned from doing the challenge in the past. Another new comer from the other side of the globe is spitting that Elon Musk rap!!! Your accent actually complimented your rap style in my opinion. Being a newcomer to the rap challenge is a bit of a challenge in itself. Your flow isn't really in line with the type of stuff I like to listen to but it was a decent nonetheless. You could have had a bit more energy when delivering your bars but overall I think you gave it a good effort. Much respect for taking time out to enter the rap challenge.

My man miggie is starting to become a mainstay in the rap challenge. I enjoy the extra length that you go to edit your videos and usually you bring a bit of humor to your rhymes. The elephant sound in the beginning caught me by surprise as I wasn't expecting it. Also your video was pretty dark so I wasn't able to see you but regardless it looks like your are done playing games. You went H.A.M on your entry this week!!! You referenced that you took it light on your last entry which made me laugh. Flow and delivery were on point!! Much respect for blessing us with some bars.

Wrap Up

This was a really hard this week to judge and write reviews for all 12 entries. As we speak my daughter is bugging me to get off this computer and entertain her. I had to go back and play a lot of videos more than once to get a sense of who came out on top. I do have a biased when it comes to music in general and I definitely have some favorites that I tend to lean towards.

I try not to let my biases influence me when judging. I think it is important to remain as objective as possible when doing these reviews. I also enjoy giving back what was given to me as far the rap challenge is concerned.

I tried to give everyone 7% of the author payout as shown below

So I'll only give payout to 8 entries based on scoring. The ones that are not included will be given boosters/whaleshare upvotes on their submission blogs based on the payout that this post gets. The new payout structure is as follows:

From my judging there are a couple of entries that are currently tied in my opinion. Now it's up to @rondonson and @slickhustler007 to give their input and decide who takes the crown. I want to thank all of the artist that took time out of their lives to create entries for this weeks content.
