Title looks quite catchy I must say, after earning what next?

Recently been blogging about tutorials and seems like both new and old users actually been benefiting from it so far, well if you are yet to read the previous tutorials you can do so here Markdown editing, Understanding the wallet section 1 and 2, also How to add images to profile and cover image.

Really, it’s been all fun and educational throughout and I must say I did learn from it as well.

Here with you today is @otemzi and bringing to you a new tutorial after earn what next?

Today will be looking at the trade center with reference to blocktrades and how to exchange our earned steem/sbd into btc and then to fiat or to any other coin of your choice.

But first, if you are here for the long run, I would advise you not to power down steempower but rather hodl and keep hodl till next year, cause it seems really bright for all of us here @steemit and also, you can take full advantage of the current price of sbd by converting to steem and then powerup won’t be discussing this as it was touched on our previous tutorial.

After earn what next?

It all start from our post page, where users are given three options be it 50/50 by default, meaning your post payout will come out in 50% steem dollar and 50% steem power, with the current price of steem dollar I would advise you to always select this.

1.JPG

The other hand we have 100%, what this mean is that our payout would come out in 100% steem power, that’s after the 25% curation reward has been taking, this still apply to 50/50.

And the last decline payout, what this simply mean is that you don’t want any payment for that post.

After the 7days, we start smiling as our post payment is automatically withdrawn into our wallet, but then what next?

Many old users found ways to convert this earn coin, be it steem or steem dollar into fiat or any other cryto currency of their choice but not new users, especially those who are yet to be enlightened about crypto currency we do have a discussion about this, so please do well to locate the post and be educated.

Like I earlier said, will be making use of bloctrades.

What is required from us, is to create an account at https://blocktrades.us/

This can be done by clicking the above link, upon opening click on signup and fill in the necessary informations.

2.JPG

Although creating of account is not necessary but it would help keep tracks of your pending and completed transactions.

After creating an account with them, go back to your wallet, the steem or steem dollar section which ever coin you would like to convert presently.

Click on the down arrow as shown in the screenshot below and click on sell.

3.JPG

It will immediately take you to the blocktrades sell page, click on sign in if you were not automatically signed in.

From the image below, you can see the send box and Receive box, the send box talks about the coin you would like to send out and the receive talks about the coin you are exchanging it to.

5.JPG

Presently, blocktrades is kind of limited to only few amount of coins which include but not limited to btc, eth dogecoin etc...

4.JPG

For practice purpose, we will be converting seem to dogecoin.

First you are expected to have the receiving coin wallet address, you can get dogecoin address from coinomi via the android application.

Create an account with them, add a new coin and copy the wallet address respectively.

Go back to the trade menu via blocktrades, click on steem as the coin be send and click on dogecoin as the coin we are to convert to.

From the screenshot below, you can see that I have already copied my dogecoin wallet address into the provided box and it shows valid.

7.JPG

Input the desired amount of steem and the amount to be received will be shown to you.

Click on get deposit address and a memo will be provided to you as well as the account to send the steem to which is already @blocktrades.

8.JPG

Copy the username and memo respectively, go back to your steem wallet and click the down arrow.

This time click on transfer, fill the required information accurately and submit.

11.JPG

Go back to blocktrades and as you can see barely 20secs the transaction already completed.

12.JPG

13.jpg

Well that wasn’t all hard.

So for fiat, you look for any market and the coin it supports in your county, which you can convert to and sell respectively.

My country Nigeria we have Luno and Local bitcoin both trusted but due to the recent transaction fee when converting and sending out eth and btc cause both are the currently accepted crypto coin as related to Luno for this reason I use the below when converting.

Airhawk-exchange medium

Due to the high transaction rate, the transaction fee as becoming somewhat of concern to us and other users, I recently saw a screenshot where a user was trying to convert $40 worth of btc to fiat and the outcome was quite ridiculous imagine, the outcome was actually $5.65, in other words no gain or profit made there and due to this, @airhawk-project been using running a escrow service for quite a while now.

14.JPG

With the help of a middleman known as escrow, we are able to facilitate transaction between buyer and seller.
In other words, what goes on here is

A seller signals us that he/she is willing to sell steem/sbd and an available buyer comes up and pick the order, to ensure that all goes has plan, the seller transfers the steem/sbd to escrow been us and we hold it pending when the buyer sends the required currency to him/her with prove of payment and then the steem/sbd is delivered to the buyer respectively.
Advantage of this is

  • You are able to bypass the huge transaction fee impose on you, when you try to convert from steem – btc – naira/whatever currency need
  • Your money is safe and secured
  • You can easily cancel transaction, if both parties are unable to come to an agreement
  • Availabilty of many buyers giving no way for monopoly
  • 24/7, there is always a buyer ready to purchase your goods
  • Only trade involving steem/sbd is welcomed making it easier to go through.

Now you probably wondering where the exchange is, you can get it from our telegram room via Telegram, so when you join our main group, you are immediately given link to the exchange room

I believe with the above, all questions related to coin withdraw or exchange as been explained as related to blocktrades.

With time, other options will be added and we hope to give a much simpler version than this.

Thanks for reading and do have a lovely day.

Remember, we are always around via Telegram 24/7

I love the valid summary and it makes it easy to comprehend. I think every Nigerian on steemit should be on the airhawk telegram group for their exchange. It is fast, easy, secure and you will get most of your money...

nicely summarized and we do change from steem/sbd to other few coin but not that constant

kudos to you @otemzi for all the tutorial so far.

i just want you to know that people are learning from you. Keep on the good work.

Thanks for this informative post, I've truly learnt a lot from it.

Looking forward to more great post from you.

Edit: And oh! I can attest to the fact that the airhawk-project exchange room on telegram is simply the best. The escrow service is wonderful and the rates are so cool.

Up! @airhawk-project

Yes up @airhawk-project.

This is extremely informative @otemzi, learnt Aa lot from this as a novice in the crypto world but this piece should have had the first tag as utopian-io...nice one bro keep it up

lol thanks bro, someone probably made something like this, but my main focus is to pass out the information far and wide and I hope coming members do read it as well.

Thanks for the above suggestion, much appreciated

Weldone buddy.

Thanks boss much appreciated

this is very interesting, @airhawk-project is really doing the best...much love.

Thanks really appreciate it

I don't even know how to appreciate you guys for the great work you have been doing, but i have 1question to ask, I still don't get how to convert the btc to my local fiat. Since you stated that Luno and Local bitcoin are not advisable to use, where else can we convert the btc to naira?

Am not saying they are bad, its a general problem as the transaction fee for sending out btc is really high.

So if you are in Nigeria you could try Airhawk exchange service

Airhawk Project SBD Exchange is so valid that I wonder if there's any other one. I rep airhawk project. Kudos

lol thanks and really appreciated for your kind words

this is quite helpful

Thanks for the comment

uwc, i did my first transaction

Oh so cool. Been trying to find something where one can trade btc to fiat. This may actually be what I am looking for. Thanks.
