Celebrating Steemit-Meetup in Vienna nr 8 (Serie- Episode 1)!

Today was the 8th edition of the Viennese steemit meetup organized by the initiative of the local steemit ambassador @nicoletta who’s representing the community here in Austria.

This morning, I went to meet my friend @wolfgangsieberth to go together to the steemit-meetup. Having to catch my camera from the hostel of the @globalschool students who couldn't come as they were busy with their group.

I was late and worried Wolfgang wouldn't find the motivation as he made a lot of efforts installing the new autnomomous place project (idea factory/the platform2.0: guest-house and co-working space) in which the @globalschool group already started to work last days. When I arrived, wolfgang was ready and briefed by phone by our friend @manncpt who was already on his way to the meetup.

We arrived at Spittelau, the ubhan station, where I started to document our journey.

Even if he shown signs of excitment to arrive (and not to wait for me taking pictures as you can see above), Wolfgang took the time to explain me the origin of the building in which we were heading. I find it passionating and encouraged him to publish about it in his report as he is participating for the first time to a steemit-meetup. Both, such historical fact about the place we go and the very topic of participation is at the heart of our work and reflexion at @generationeuropa and developing the @globalschool. I would really love to start writing a kind of open dialog about this topic and reflect further in how we can improve for example participation access, visibility and engagement.

Arriving, we could already see at the windows our friend joining us from Germany after 30 years of absence, @schamangerbert who took the time to welcome and exchange with all of us for our biggest enjoyement.

Become the non-anonymous faces of steemit meetups

Being a newbie, arriving in a new group or community, sometimes we feel the various effects of group dynamics. It is often just impressions. However, it enable more or less one and the other to take part in the action of engaging themselves in communicating. It can be easy for extroverts, some networkers, marketers, social media people, some others, more challenging for some introverts (as I am too). Be visible to support diversity empowerment.
