Capture CO2 and trap it into Concrete

The Problem

Concrete is the most abundant man made material and its production will increase over the coming decades.
One main raw material of concrete is cement. The production of cement involves reactions that release large amount of CO2.

The Solution

CarbonCure is a retrofit technology that reduces the overall carbon signature of concrete.
It involves injecting recycled CO2 from atmosphere, into the concrete during the settling phase.
The result is a concrete with better strength and reduced carbon signature.

Opinion:

  • This makes a lot of sense. There is so much old concrete waste just begging to be reused. By not having to manufacture a large percentage of the new carboncure because it is essentially recycled materials, this will surely be great for the environment.

WOW, this is great! Using recycled Carbon for concrete will help environment a lot. It's a big relief to know that there is lot more awareness on environment today that it used to be in the near past and the best part is people are taking action in the right direction. building homes require concrete and this is one of the most used material on daily basis. CarbonCure can change the game in a positive way. Excellent hunt @xabi.

This is a very common sense solution, capturing Carbon from the environment and sinking it into the concrete. Improving the environmental aspects of concrete would be a huge win, reversing the impact of CO2 emissions. Wood has always been a way to capture carbon naturally, and store it in a construction material. This of course requires cutting down trees that have already absorbed the carbon - impacting the environment. "Recycling" the carbon from the atmosphere and storing it in concrete - big win. Nice Hunt.

This CarbonCure technology overcomes the labor cost in a very compact manner. Labors break their backs to mix out the concrete well. This would help out to reduce the waste and transform into a valuable commodity.

I feel like Carbon storage is one way to address climate change in the environment locking it up keeps the carbon in the ground for years and is a step forward. Thanks for the hunt.

Great concept, except CO2 is not the problem for our environment, in my humble opinion. Even more so, the so called excess CO2 in the atmosphere can be used to make cheap clean fuel, called HC. Still a good hunt!

Really good innovation to recycle CO2 in concrete, we reduce the ecological footprint of this industry and in addition the concrete is of better quality with this treatment. Perfect solution to accelerate the world’s transition to clean energy,... Great hunt @xabi

Here is my opinion-
This is really a good concept to produce eco-friendly and it could be the next step to reduce pollution. I love the concept and I waiting when my country gonna adopts this technique.

As the global warming is the main issue of today therefore this product is good invention because carbon is the main contributor in raising the temperature. This is cool product because in this hunt carbon is recycled.
