I've been to a lot of music festivals... and even ones that have been running for years and years are a mess...
Tickets sell out in 7 minutes... even if you're poised on the phone/internet ready, you'll still likely miss out. Scalpers buy them all and then sell them back to the public at high prices. The lines for food, drinks, etc are crazy.
If you do manage to get tickets, the ticket sellers then sell your data to whoever, and you end up on a trillion mailing lists or getting phone calls.
But... music festivals are often an incredible experience with a much higher value for the customer... and they're super fun.
OMF are creating an Ethereum token for use at Music Festivals, by creating their own festival. Eventually people can vote on the lineup of festivals using their tokens.
Festivals will have to do better because of the feedback and referral loop. No Fyre no more!

This will revolutionize the both side (buyer and seller tickets), and minimize the presence of loitering brokers.
Thanks for your comment dude! Exactly! As a consumer, it's so frustrating when you are ready to get tickets at the exact moment they're released... and can't... and then see them for sale on eBay for 4 times the cost. Hopefully this token will also help the queues for drinks, food, etc.
This new technology facilitates and above all secures any transaction, financial or otherwise, through a highly sophisticated encryption process theoretically impossible to break or falsify. Each transaction is linked to others within a kind of big register.
I hope that the blockchain will be used in several areas to remedy obvious problems such as resale to the black market, counterfeiting, fraud or dementia fees.
Thanks @kouba01 - The good thing about this project is that they are building the tokens and blockchain for their own music festival... so they'll have a strong proof-of-concept for other music festival organisers. I really do hope the project takes and resale drops dramatically.

I did not know about something like this. People who involve with blockchain can easily earn some tokens in this way. But what you have explained about this platform- I think it is not easy to get tickets directly.
