PdaNet+ is a free communication application that turns a mobile device into a modem by just connecting a computer to to the device where the application is installed.
This application is available on these operating systems, IOS, Android, Blackberry and some other common OS(s).
The actual work of this app is that it shares your mobile connection with your computer.
Paid / Free Version
PdaNet is 80% free. The only difference between the paid and free version is that, you stay connected till you manually disconnect it. Unlike the free version where it automatically disconnects it after a particular bandwidth is reached.
The latest version of PdaNet is Version 5.10

PdaNET is at least 15 years old. I use to use this on my Palm TREO 600 back in the early 2000's.
