If you are a gamer or if you are just unhappy with just having your tiny laptop screen to look at, then packed pixels is for you. Instead of lugging around a large PC monitor, packed pixels is a rather portable way where you can extend your laptop screen.
Packedpixels is priced at approximately 175 USD. Not bad for extra screen real estate, seeing that a larger monitor would cost more than that.
Packedpixels has a universal mounting system that mounts onto any laptop. The screens on packed pixels then connects to your laptop's mini display port. If you don't have one on it, you can consider using an adapter. Power for the monitor is drawn from your laptop's USB port. Thus, there is no need for another power socket.
The packedpixels can be disassembled and placed in a travel bag along with your laptop. As such it is rather easy to transport it around.
With all the pros, there are a few cons with it. For one, the packed pixels is produced in limited numbers, so it can be hard to find one. Furthermore, the packedpixels would reduce your laptop's battery by at least 10% with the screen brightness set to the lowest. So, if you prefer portability and battery longevity, this is not for you.
Aside from that, if you would want to play a good match of counterstrike on your work laptop, then this is definitely worth your money.
