The ABILIFY MYCITE is an ingestable pill with an embedded sensor to detect if a patient has consumed prescribed medication. There are a few other components required to make this pill work. They include a sensor patch, the MYCITE smartphone app and the web-based secure Dashboard portal.
Here’s a video from CBC News that describes what the digital pill is and how it works:
It was designed specifically to help mental health patients with the following conditions stay on track with their medication regimen:
- Schizophrenia
- Bipolar I disorder
- Major Depressive Disorder
Physicians are also of the opinion that the pill can be used by patients who tend to forget to take their medication.

A product that helps prevent patients from using the wrong pill. especially for mentally ill patients. they are puting onabdomen one tool and driking one pill after that they cheking from the phone it is benefit or damage. Great hunt.

I have a bipolar friend and I how difficult is life for them and for their families. I watched the video and I hope abilify mycite will be successful.
This is a known issue with many mental health sufferers. They tend to get off their medication when they start to feel good. They don't realize that their symptoms are starting to show until it is a little too late. Thank you for your comment!
Mental problems are as important as body's problems, and they should be recognized at early stage. I guess Abilify Mycite will be useful for mental problems. Great hunt.

I spent quite a bit of time searching for an alternative video. The inventor of the pill did not create a suitable video. A reader would have had some difficulty understanding what the pill does just on a textual description. I included the video to make it easier to consume the hunt.
