That's right. It's not a "recent news" but more of a "activity log" with beneficiaries set to those curators listed in that post, so the curators can be rewarded. It's true that if a month-old posts happen to be in "flaggable posts" makes this section somewhat useless.. I'm not sure if I remember well, but I think these posts are now manually triggered. Links to curated posts are collected and grouped per-curator and each curated link is rewarded only once, so if a curator has low activity it takes time to gather some reward. OTOH, if the curator has really high activity, maybe his reports are queued as well and rewarded on oldest-first basis :)
