@blocktrades + @sndbox Steem Fest Ticket Giveaway; My Art Entry
I was so excited when @anomadsoul announced an art contest for the Steemfest ticket giveaway. I was honestly looking up to it. So here's my Entry below:
MY ENTRY
the beautiful city of Krakow
About my art
I have not been to Poland before or any Steemfest, so creating art that was depictive of the occasion was a little challenging. That notwithstanding, I need to express myself and art in a style that I am used to.
A quick search on the Internet on Kraków returned lovely photos of the city, such that I couldn't ignore. Hence, I decided to create this art of a Kraków city in the Utopia.
Materials and Style
I used colored ball point pens on white paper and a reference picture of a Kraków city in making a hand drawn sketch in the traditional hatching and cross hatching style.
The Fest promises to bring people from all over the world to this peaceful city and I surely can't wait to be part of this life changing event.
PROGRESS
Below, I've provided stepwise progress shots of the drawing process including short notes.
I started by outlining the angular view of the city and important features using thin lines.
the work begins with my making details of the drawing
at this point, I added colored ink. Blue for the sky.
here, I've added the green ink for the vegetation.
Then some text for the subject of the event. I kept a space there to replace with the Steem logo :-))
here you go! Some red too for decorative purposes.
Overall, the process of making this art was fascinating. I spent 3 days on this and I couldn't wait to release it to the Steemfest community.
Since I usually make black and white art using black ink only, I didn't hesitate to turn this one into black and white to see what it looked like.
Wow! I love it. Maybe I should stick to black and white drawing ... 😀😀
Hey, I didn't stop there. I liked that creative text (Steemfest 3k, Krakow, 2018) which I wrote up there so I decided to convert it into a digital graphic art using inkscape. That's another deliverable for the contest. Here's the design below:
there's some screenshots too :-))
Hermoso!
