New Video Site Progress
I'm still deciding on a name for it, but I have made a few improvements to the alpha version of the video project over the last week:
- Improved Search - It now checks tags, authors and title text for matches
- Added Filter - By clicking the filter icon, you can now refine your video selection by various criteria
- Added Preferences (with minimal functionality) - Similar to the filter, but will allow more customisation of your video views
- Added a simple nsfw blocker which is currently always on, I will replace as I work on preferences and customisation of views
As always, any feedback/criticism/suggestions are very welcome.
It looks good. I think that you should add an option that would allow someone to post a response video and have a link to it appear under the video being responded to.
Sounds like a good idea, but probably more applicable to DTube than this project since we don't plan to allow direct video uploads.
Hey just curious. If D.Tube is open-source why not put your efforts to teaming up with D.Tube? It would be much more efficient and beneficial to the community.
This one merge all posts with videos, Youtube, dtube, dlive, ect.

Ahhh I see, very interesting. So it's a Steem wide video aggregator, very good.
The main area where DTube needs development is in my opinion the video IPFS storage/delivery side, and I don't know much about that at the moment, so wouldn't be much help there. The actual front-end code is not really open source, as the code is obfuscated.
As transisto says, this project is a bit different too. It will become clearer as development progresses, but it will hopefully also have some interesting features that YouTube and DTube don't have.
Not showing NSFW content makes people less free. You are deciding for them. That's temporary but for the period of time it applies people won't be able to choose freely to consume or not consume the content.
I think I understand what you're trying to say, but providing an extra way for people to view blockchain content doesn't make people less free. They can still consume the content on DTube, YouTube or Steemit for example.
Yes, of course they can. But they are not allowed to consume the same content from your app as they are from all other apps.

Are you referring to DTube videos on this site, or DTube videos on the DTube itself?

(Off-top) I see something strange today with your tool steemreports.com: some incoming votes are shown there but I don't see them as received at Steemit (Busy) or at Steemd.com or Steemstats. Can you explain this glitch?

Perhaps this is a visibility bug at only one page - Top Voters?
Thanks for clarifying it.
When you hover over the names (if you're using a desktop browser), you see that their votes are actually worth 0, so in other words it's a display bug where when you hover at the end of any bar (it does it on the top voters too), it shows a 0 vote value for the most recent post if they didn't vote for it.
It must be a bug in the software library I used, so I'm not sure whether I'll be able to fix it.
