In various parts of the Bible, we find passages where God makes many comparisons of our walk as Christians and one of them, is with an eagle; God knows the special instinct of this bird, and to take care of its chicks, just as God has of us his children. Even the same biologists have discovered amazing characteristics of the eagle in terms of their survival on earth and that is why God compares us with respect to the Christian life.

(Deuteronomy 32: 10-11) "He found him in a desert land, and in the waste of horrible loneliness; He brought it around, instructed it, kept it as the girl in his eye. How the Eagle that excites its nest, hovers over its chickens, spreads its wings, takes them, carries them on its feathers. "
Characteristics of the Eagle

1.- Their nests are only placed on the rock.
(Job 39: 27-28) "Does the eagle go back by its command and raise its nest? She lives and dwells in the rock, on the top of the rock and the rock. "

Every eagle always seeks the safety of a place that can not be shaken, like the rocks on the top of the mountains, to be away from predators in solitary places.

Just as the eagles, every Christian must lay his foundation to build a house to dwell in the rock, and this rock is Jesus, where no predator can kill him. You may be attacked but if your foundation is on the rock do not open anything that can make you fall.

2.- It is remote up to the heights.

3.- You can fly towards the sun without any problem.
The eagles, without suffering any pain, can fly towards the sun. This makes the birds that want to attack desist and move away, because you can not stand the brightness of the sun.

This can happen in the same way with a Christian, it is the only one that in the moments of crisis, in moments of despair, snares, pain or anguish, run towards the sun that is our Justice, this is Christ Jesus.

(Malachi 4: 2) "But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and you shall go out, and you shall leap like calves of the herd. "

4.- The strongest animal on earth.

The eagle supports 70 times its own weight. God knows the carrying capacity that man endures, for this he always tells us in his word, that he does not give us more than we can bear. Even so, with Christ we can always bear very heavy burdens. The Lord always gives us strength to have new strength and encourages us to be able to endure all the trials.

(Isaiah 40:31) "But those who wait for Jehovah will have new strength; they will raise wings like eagles; they will run, and they will not get tired; they will walk, and they will not tire. "

5.- The Eagle is a hunter.

These birds always seek to hunt their own food, therefore, is that their food is always fresh and she is always alert, from the heights to hunt their prey.

6.- Each year he renews his feathers.
A wonderful quality that we find in the characteristics of the eagle, is that they always look young or as if they rejuvenate each year. The eagles once a year climb to the mountain heights to be completely renovated.

These birds begin by plucking each and every one of their feathers, this is done by whipping their body against the "rock", this they do by beating themselves little by little so that their feathers fall one by one.

At all times, we must remain on the heights of prayer, fasting and intimacy with the Lord, so that in communion with him, we can allow him to pluck our feathers by whipping us against "his rock" to form a new plumage with the which we can go back to in the heights of his character. Well, although the process is very painful.

Just as the beak of the eagle is typified, in us there must also be a renewal of our word, decrees, thoughts, and attitudes with which the Lord will deal, so that we may serve him with honor, and give him glory.

(Psalm 103: 5) "He who satisfies your mouth with good so that you rejuvenate yourself like the eagle."

7.- Once in your life you go through a period of discouragement
In all their life, once the eagles experience a period in which they embark on an adventure to explore and that's when they descend to the ground and their legs begin to step on the mud and from one moment to another they find decomposing flesh of others animals and for the first time they taste it.

The eagles when they are underground experimenting with the mud, stepping on it. Some when trying this food are encouraged and try with all their might to fly again. When one of the eagles needs help or feels weak, the others come to help him.

As a Christian we must have fellowship with one another, to help and motivate us together. Because being children of God, we can go through periods of discouragement, which we are tested in our flesh through problems, diseases, circumstances, the coexistence of people who are not suitable for our lives, that their personality keep us from the word of the Lord.

And what is much more essential spiritual food, continued in our congregations. That fresh food of the Holy Spirit that prevents us from eating the rotten flesh that weakens us and makes us forget who we are in Christ Jesus.

Come out victorious from periods of discouragement.

When we are able to emerge victorious from these periods of discouragement, we become stronger, healthier and more mature in terms of spiritual level, and will never again try to taste rotten meat, nor will we leave our feet on the muddy areas where the Lord, He has taken us out and rescued us to cleanse and love us.
