My Wife @fearlessfaith and I had a quiet time for spiritual building today. As we believe that a Godly relationship is the primary foundation a marriage should practice, we vow to make it a habit. We thought of sharing this so everyone here would somehow know how important it is to have healthy conversation with God as a couple.

Matt. 5:3 & 8
"3 The poor in spirit are blessed. for the kingdom of heaven is their.
8 The pure in heart are blessed, for they will see God.

Nowhere in the scripture is poverty or absence of possessions declared to be the path to spiritual blessing. The emphasis was upon emptying yourself to make room for God. One who is poor cannot satisfy his/her own needs; he/she is driven by his/her poverty to dependence upon God.
When self-sufficiency and pride are stripped away, you are ready to be responsive to God, His Word, and the gracious ministries to meet your need.

A marriage is a covenant and not just a contract. Allow yourselves to grow in the knowledge of God as a couple and let Him be the center of it. We thought that as we anchored our relationship in God, this would not go astray!

Husbands, LOVE your wives. Wives, submit to your husbands!
